Kurt Angle beating the hell out of Mike Haywood in a ladder match on Smackdown. Haywood put in no offense. Angle clamped an Ankle-lock and Haywood tapped out. Ref told him there's no submission in a ladder match so Haywood mustered all the strength he could to get to the ropes. Angle climbs the ladder and grabs his gold medal without breaking a sweat.

OK, time to complete the WWE 2006 trifecta with ECW!
Balls Mahoney beat Masato Tanaka at One Night Stand, which would be Balls' only win until December 2 Dismember. However, despite always losing, Balls was actually all over TV, having several short promos, hosting Extreme Strip Poker (that HAD to get a mention in this thread), and even a lot of his losses weren't clean. I remember a loss to Kevin Thorn because Ariel interfered, and one to Justin Credible by DQ, which leads into...
Justin Credible picked up two wins on ECW, both by DQ, at a time when they were really pushing the "Extreme" in ECW. But, what makes this even weirder is both wins were over fellow ECW Originals, Balls and Sabu. The Balls win came via chairshot, the Sabu win due to a table. But, it gets even weirder, because Mike Posey was the referee for both matches. A couple weeks into the relaunch of ECW, there was a blink-and-you-miss-it segment backstage where original ECW ref Jim Mollineaux was explaining to newcomer Posey that there were no rules in ECW. At the time, I thought they may have been trying to make Posey their version of Fonzie, but it never went anywhere, sadly.
When ECW was in Oklahoma, Jim Ross made an appearance and endorsed The Sandman as the next ECW Champion. Sandman would go on to lose to Big Show in the main event.
Francine made three appearances on the new ECW, two of them being to aid Balls Mahoney in his feud with Kevin Thorn and Ariel. But the other one, which was her first, was being in catering with a bunch of other Originals the week after Heyman turned heel.
CW Anderson was renamed "Christopher W. Anderson" for his one and only appearance, a loss to CM Punk.

Kurt Angle walking around in a red thong in TNA, telling Jeremy Borash to stop looking at his "package". Charlie Haas using some hood slang in a backstage segment. Rory McAllister of The Highlanders then said:"I had no clue that Charlie Haas was black." Paul London freaking out on Velocity on the mic in Pac-Man trunks about losing to his friend Brian Kendrick, who had just returned to WWE in 2005. Ric Flair's meeting with the TNA Knockouts: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/iyqib4/these_tna_segments_were_such_a_big_funny_mess/More DirecTV wrestling-related memories from me. These are from 2000: Sting saying he was as tan as a milk bottle to the interviewer. Vampiro:"I don't really light people on fire." Lipstick (Torrie Wilson), Leather (Daffney), and Lace (Stacy Keibler) was a behind-the-scenes special on the three WCW women.

A Luke Harper vignette that inferred he was a veteran, and bray found him and "put him back together" - it was after the first split where he "sets" him and Rowan free Similarly, I have no idea which show but I recall Michael Cole on comms one time mentioning that Harper was a former truck driver before joining the Wyatt family. It was a little touch that I enjoyed, especially given how infrequently WWE alludes to wrestlers' pre-WWE careers.
Scott Dawson and Rusev's short lived tag team in NXT is one I like looking back at.

While I’m sure people remember, Farting Natalya was really strange and not talked about much anymore. I think every time she gets mentioned in a thread on this forum or shows up on TV it gets mentioned here.

One thing that never gets brought up is a throwaway commentary line where Harper and Rowan joined the Wyatt Family as "they were made pariahs for their urges".
I know it's vague enough to be anything, but you know that makes your brain go "these f***ers are sex offenders"

There was a match during Stone Cold's heel run where he was in a triple threat match for the World Title. The other two guys double teamed him and eliminated him. Then he somehow reentered the match and won the title. And it wasn't like he stayed in the match, he was out of it, and then somehow at the last second dived in and stole a win in a match he wasn't in, and the commentators stammered all over themselves trying to figure out how to call it. Did this actually happen?

I'm sure lots of people have noticed this but it doesn't seem to get talked about much: Dolph Zigger is just obsessed with skinning the cat in Rumbles and Battle Royals. He must do it several times, every time.

Did this actually happen? I don't think it did. He did have a Triple Threat Match with Benoit and Jericho where he tapped out to the Crippler Crossface and Walls of Jericho at the same time. The match was ordered to continue, and Austin ending up pinning Benoit to win.

The week in 2001 in which Smackdown was branded Smackdown Xtreme. It was basically the same as ordinary Smackdown, but with a big red X over the graphic.

I seem to remember a very short-lived gimmick where some guy could do "tricks" with his pecs (it was as bad as it sounds). but I forget who had this gimmick.

They did at least put on some gimmick matches (Hardyz vs. Dudleyz in a table match, Undertaker/Kane vs. Rikishi/Meng in a first-blood match) that they generally didn't do on TV, plus an ostensibly big main event (Angle vs. Rock for the title, which turned into Angle vs. Rock vs. HHH).

Chris Masters did it during his second run during the guest host era. He did a pec dance to the tune of Crazy Train when Ozzy Osbourne hosted.

Really random one, but The Highlanders turned heel on Cryme Tyme (I think) for... reasons... in 2007, then languished on Heat for a couple of months, then had a weird segment where they lifted their kilts and "flashed" someone (Regal? Or Cade and Murdoch?). It was... bizarre.

Viscera as the Evil Pimp for a week I VIVIDLY remember this Godfather lost a match to Vis so he had to give up the Hoes who came to the ring with him The next week Viscera came out for a match and brought out the Hoes looking disheveled and distressed Next time we saw Godfather he had a DIFFERENT set of Hoes bring him to the ring and it's back to being fun and games BUT they never addressed what happened to those PREVIOUS Hoes! Did they get rescued some how? Are they still chained up in Viscera's basement?!?

Eugene having a very brief heel run in late 2006. He attacked Jim Duggan, tried to collect a bounty on DX, and had a very uncomfortable segment where he attacked Val Venis after Val tried to stop him from forcing himself on a pair of models. Heel Eugene trying to make a group of girls hug him because he was "special" made me laugh harder than it probably should

Did this actually happen? It sounds like KOTR 2001 where he just kinda pins Benoit out of nowhere and it came across awkwardly.
