Admittedly on my most recent pair of playthroughs I lost a lot of dread I had for Regenerators when I realized the background music changes if they can actually see you. Hmm actually been considering going back and replaying the Arkham games and "attempt" to do all the Riddler shit Funny thing is while I'd been meaning to get back to the first two at the very least (kind of can't be assed to hook up the 360 for Origins though it is good, keep meaning to try actually playing Knight but from what I've fiddled with it I just don't care about it), what motivated me to do so was that I hooked up the PS3 to pick up Persona 3 FES and I needed to kill time while it was downloading. Knight is fun for me. I've beaten it twice and the Riddler stuff is somehow less a pain in the ass and more so since you have to get all them bitches to fight him and I REFUSE!!!!! I'm pretty sure I got the Arkham Bundle (Arkham and City) for the cheap on one of the online sales on my PS4 but just never installed it. Going to feel funny going backwards in terms of combat but it has been years since I played either game Also I get Origins wasn't Rocksteady but still, that should been in there since that is the only one I haven't played |

Those ports are... Eh? Arkham Asylum is fine, I had like one time a door didn't load properly but whatever, but Arkham City is a glitchy mess. Had issues like an enemy getting stuck in a wall in Bane's room which led to having to leave and then re-enter which caused both cutscenes to play back-to-back with Bane invisible the whole time, occasional crashes, at one point the city keeping the distant versions of the buildings loaded so collisions were screwed up and everything looked like it was out of Super Mario 64 (which ultimately ended up crashing), frequent lag from gliding around the city too quickly... Yeah, PS4 version of City is a mess. As for Origins it's pretty decent. Really if you're looking for a hard mode version of Arkham City with better boss fights that's basically what you get. |
