100 percent deserves its label as a game that changed the game Not going hold you tho, I beat it once and have never really felt compelled to play it again despite owning it on multiple systems

I’m the opposite. I’ve beat it several times on multiple systems. The Chicago Typewriter is one of the most over-powered weapons in video game history, yet playing through multiple times and mowing your way through enemy after enemy with it is so damn addictive and replayable.
The game is in my top five ever. A masterpiece. The Wii edition is the definitive version for me.

Great game in its time. I tried playing it in the not too distant past, but it didn’t age well. The camera is too tight and the controls are too stiff. Got just past the first village encounter before quitting it. Can’t wait for the RE2 style remaster to bring it into the modern era.

I bought a freakin' Gamecube just so I could play this game (I was young and naive, not realizing that OF COURSE Capcom was going to put this out on the PS2). That's how much it means to me.

It's good but always found it a tad overrated. 1 remake, 2 (original and remake), and 7 are better imo.

I noticed the same with the controls, when I try to go back and replay it. I bought it on PS2, and downloaded it on my 360 to continue playing it, but nowadays it's hard to go back into it. I bet if they rereleased it with a new game plus mode, it would reignite interest in it all over again.

One of my favourite games, so much fun and the villains are very memorable in a cheesy kind of way.

I mantain that the Wii version is the superior version. Pointing the Wii remote and shooting is impecable.

I only ever did it on the Gamecube version, but hours and hours and weeks of Mercenaries made unlocking the "Handcannon" pretty epic too. (5 stars on all four stages with all five characters) the last upgrade gave you infinite ammo on this already insane weapon

That moment of panic every time you heard a chainsaw revving up. And those goddamn Regenerators.

Love the game to pieces and beaten it many, many times over the years, including a couple in a row last year. Was thinking about doing another run through soon anyway so might try that in the next day or two, though at the moment kind of juggling between Catherine, Mario 64, and Arkham Asylum.

Hmm actually been considering going back and replaying the Arkham games and "attempt" to do all the Riddler shit

Admittedly on my most recent pair of playthroughs I lost a lot of dread I had for Regenerators when I realized the background music changes if they can actually see you. Love the game to pieces and beaten it many, many times over the years, including a couple in a row last year. Was thinking about doing another run through soon anyway so might try that in the next day or two, though at the moment kind of juggling between Catherine, Mario 64, and Arkham Asylum. Hmm actually been considering going back and replaying the Arkham games and "attempt" to do all the Riddler shit Funny thing is while I'd been meaning to get back to the first two at the very least (kind of can't be assed to hook up the 360 for Origins though it is good, keep meaning to try actually playing Knight but from what I've fiddled with it I just don't care about it), what motivated me to do so was that I hooked up the PS3 to pick up Persona 3 FES and I needed to kill time while it was downloading.
