Yeah you can go "but but but that's not a zombie film wibble wibble" but you'd be wrong.
1 28 days later (best zombie film ever. Will there ever be a 28 months later...? Who knows) 2 plague of the zombies (my favourite of the hammer horror films. Saw this late night one Friday when I was a youngster and loved it) 3 dawn of the dead remake (yeah I picked the remake. Faster paced and more of a Saturday night film while the original is more of a Sunday morning/day off work sick type of film) 4 train to Busan (randomly came across it on Amazon prime a year or two back and recommended it to anyone who would listen) 5 Quarantine (okay I ranked this higher than the Spanish orginal, basically cause I prefer not having to read a film-yeah I'm an ignoramus. Bit of found footage element to it and nice gory zombies chasing the heroes up a flight of stairs)
What's your top picks?

1) Dawn Of The Dead (original)- majored in sociology, if I'd gone for a masters my thesis would have just been this movie. 2)28 Days Later- Scary and brutal 3) REC- Think this was the American one with Jennifer Carpenter? Quality flick 4)Dead Girl- Innovative and horrifying take on the genre 5)Contracted- Same thing

Train to Busan has a sequel that came out not too long ago No on Prime, got to pay for it

Train to Busan has a sequel that came out not too long ago No on Prime, got to pay for it Any good? Haven't got time to watch it yet, but I heard Peninsula (name of the sequel) was decent but obviously not hitting the same emotional highs that Train to Busan did but it is a stand alone movie dealing with a Korean army going into the Zombie invested town to retrieve an item I believe I might actually give it a watch this weekend If you haven't watched Kingdom on Netflix I would recommend it. It is basically like Korean Game of Thrones with Zombies

1.Dead/Alive-STill the best film Peter Jackson has made. Perfectly blends comedy with some extreme gore.
2.Return of the Living Dead-My 3rd favorite horror film. Would love a legit release of the workprint one day.
3.Night of the Living Dead-Original of course. Been obsessed with this movie since I saw it back when I was 9 or so.
4.Dawn of the Dead-Original again. Seen at least 5 versions of this classic. Canne's Cut is my favorite.
5.Bio Zombie-Amazing Korean,I think it's Korean, made gore film. If you can make sure to get the dvd with the "Engrish" dubbing. What that is how it is labeled on the menu.

I've never seen anyone ever bring up the Pet Sematary movies as zombie movies before. For me, my list is 28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later Quarantine Day of the Dead (original) Dawn of the Dead (remake)

1. Evil Dead 2 (What do you mean they are not zombies?! Fine it's still a great movie featuring Deadites.)
~
1. Shaun of the Dead - Funny and quotable. 2. The Return of the Living Dead - Imaginative, good soundtrack, bizarre characters and that tar man zombie. 3. Night of the Lving Dead (1968) - Iconic and really good. 4. Zombeavers - I found this to be a lot of fun. 5. Re-Animator (1985) - Really well put together and faithful to the story by Lovecraft. Jeffrey Combs is always a delight to watch.

Hoo boy. No particular order:
Night of the Living Dead Return of the Living Dead 28 Days Later Dead Alive REC
Honorable mentions to Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland. Still need to see Train to Busan since I've heard lots of good things.
