Good on people getting vaccinated, though I am hopeful it isn't too little, too late. I mean, it IS too late for many, Japan screwed up, but I hope they can minimize the damage.

Revenge feels like a long time ago. I loved that game so much as a kid. Never owned it. Always rented it from Blockbuster.

Looks like Sami Callahan is going to be added to the Moose vs. Omega match.

Looks like Sami Callahan is going to be added to the Moose vs. Omega match. Huh. That tells me Kenny retains and Sami takes the fall.

No Mercy is still probably the best N64 wrestling game, but Revenge and WM2000 still really have their charms, especially their rosters being this snapshot of an era of wrestling.

But that does seem to be a cop-out on the wider story they want to tell with Kenny. It also really wouldn't do much for Moose to beat someone I believe he's beaten before.

Yeah, I don't see Kenny likely dropping the title without being pinned. Doesn't mean he might not still get screwed in a way, like if he One Winged Angel'd Sami, and then Moose rolled him up into a pin or otherwise took advantage, but if Kenny loses the title, I do feel like he'd be involved in the process.

It also really wouldn't do much for Moose to beat someone I believe he's beaten before. Figure it’s a way for him to lose the title without AEW having their champion take a pin on American TV, but maybe they’re not that worried about protecting Omega since he’s a heel.

Kenny losing a belt without being involved in the match’s decision would be incredibly lame.
It’s one of my biggest pet peeves with triple threat matches.

I get that aspect but it’d almost make the whole thing pointless without putting over someone when you finally lose the belt. Moose (or Sami but that’s less likely) would be a made man by being the person to start Omega’s downfall, presumably Andrade being the next person before Hangman.

If you’re not ready for him to be pinned or submitted, you’re not ready for him to drop the belt.

Most likely here's what happens:
Kenny Omega retains the title at Against All Odds pinning Callihan. That way Moose can say that Omega never really beat him.
Slammiversary features a King of the Mountain Match between Omega, Moose, Edwards, Callihan and Swann. Moose is just about to win before the Good Brothers show up to cost him the match. Kenny retains once again further pissing Moose off.
From there Kenny Omega ducks Moose in singles competition. He makes a couple more title defenses until Bound for Glory where Moose FINALLY gets his shot and dethrones Kenny once and for all, establishing Moose as the face of Impact and ending Kenny's reign of terror.

Kenny definitely isn't losing the title at Against All Odds. Dude is making them money on their PPVs. He's going into Slammiversary as the champion. Just a matter of who they decide to build up as a challenger for that show.

I just don’t want Impact to pull a WWE and have Kenny lose the title without being pinned or made to submit in a triple threat match.
It’s one of my least favorite tropes in wrestling.

It's really telling that the only time WWE comes up is once, to put Shaq's match in historical context. Otherwise, it's almost entirely NFL comparisons. Smart and well played, IMO.

Put me in for "Theyre protecting Moose" more so than Kenny by putting Callahan in here. Kenny's gonna retain via pinning him.
