I wonder if they'll replace Superstars with Shotgun once we get to the recap era, which I think is only about a year away in their timeline right now.

Are we ever gonna get more syndicated 80s content?

No classic content drop for November announced yet? The rumor is that more episodes of WWF Superstars from 1996 will drop this Monday.

Watching the 3/23/96 Superstars and it's still weird to see Yokozuna as a babyface buddy-buddy with Ahmed Johnson and Jake Roberts.

On the April 13 episode, the Sunny video set to this song has been cut:

So now by my math if they keep their ten episode drop it is only four more left of Superstars as a first run show although at this rate they may keep dropping them after it becomes a recap show. They should do Challenge as they gave us two drops on early 2021 and no more since

I don't get why this period of Superstars, when it was well into being a B show is what they keep uploading.

Its just for simplicity IMO WWE shows prior to January 2008 will always be standard definition. They can be cleaned up somewhat, but they weren't shot with HD cameras.

You still have some important stuff in this era: half of the the 1996 King of the Ring, Sunny being slopped, etc. Once Superstars jumps to USA you have Austin creating the Pillmanizer and, while nothing significant storyline-wise afterwards, some pretty interesting match-ups until about February 97 or so.

The episode where HHH hits that crazy pedigree to Marty Garner is on there (June 1, 1996 show).
Thankfully Garner was not seriously hurt from that, I heard he thought it was a piledriver and that's why he jumped up like that.

9 more 1996 episodes are up (July 27 - Sept. 29).
The Sept. 14 episode has been skipped, likely due to the usage of the "Superstars of Wrestling" logo and banners. It was a 10-year retrospective hosted by Gorilla Monsoon and Mr. Perfect.

Once they get to early 97 of Superstars when it becomes a clip show, they should switch to uploading early Shotgun Saturday Night episodes.

It was a 10-year retrospective hosted by Gorilla Monsoon and Mr. Perfect. That's a bummer, 9/14/96 is a fun episode. WWF did not look back at anything past two years at that time so getting a walk down memory lane like that was special. Plus, you had Gorilla and Perfect talking about proto-Attitude Era angles like Michaels vs Mankind like they would have at the Prime Time Wrestling table. It's surreal in the best of ways.
