In anticipation of the trailer tomorrow, some music is in order: I said this story before but when the first trailer came out, someone I know who I play Yu-Gi-Oh with said "That was the first time I discovered Gangster's Paradise". He was 18. I've never been a guy who feels old about anything but I felt my body turn to dust almost instantaneously. Like, good on him for discovering the track but...yeah... |

I'm torn about Colleen. On one hand I'm happy an actual voice actress is getting a major role in this film, and not just another celebrity.
On the other hand a small part of me is like "Really Paramount. Tails isn't good enough for a big-name celebrity voice?!"

Overjoyed for Colleen and I hope they gave Roger at least a little something do to somewhere. Three main reasons why I think this happened: - Colleen already did the first movie, possibly for a temp track they'd intended to replace. - Very few female celebs are used to maintaining "little boy" voices. - The Stranger Things kids are too old now. |

Still feel weird when Ben Schwartz is being lumped in as a big name actor by people when, like, most of his significant roles have been in animated projects.
It’d be like if I said Keith David or Clancy Brown was taking a spot from an actual voice actor, you know.

Personally I would have went with Danny Pudi as Tails so we can get a Ducktales (2017) reunion, but having the game's voice actress reprising the role on the big screen works too.

Knuckles sounds eerily like Chief Bogo from Zootopia, but it still fits his character somehow.

Sonic The Hedgehog walked so Sonic The Hedgehog 2 could run. it may not be possible, (I think there were some legal issues preventing game music being used in the first movie) but I hope they can find a way to work in the Sonic 2 boss battle music for Robotnik's leitmotif in this one. Something like this: |

It's funny, but as a kid reaching the Archie comics I always imagined Knuckles with an Australian accent, given how the writers tended to depict the denizens of the Floating Island.
Elba might not be Aussie, but hearing *some* kind of accent out of Knuckles that isn't American sounding inches a bit closer towards that childhood head canon.
