I never thought I would look at Archer and see "Megastar", but he's quickly getting there. He carries himself perfectly, he throws people around like they are nothing, and tonight, it took four people, tag champs from another company, a number one contender in ANOTHER Company and a WORLD CHAMPION to keep him down for a 3 count.
Archer's just getting to that place where I think the time is getting real close to right to pull a trigger on someone like him. A guy who was a Rock Band Parody in TNA, MR. INTENSITY in WWE, and "Tramp Stamp" Archer for a time in Japan...
You never know when it's all gonna come together for a dude... it's come together for Lance Archer, and everybody dies...

If I had to choose, I’d want him back as the Young Lion killer but Lance Archer is killing dudes and that’s really all that matters.
He did really potato KENTA, though. 😉

I liked that he got protected in the match(ate a magic killer, Vtrigger and a super OWA)

I liked that he got protected in the match(ate a magic killer, Vtrigger and a super OWA) That protection is really valuable to him right now - Kenny Omega just pinned him while putting up a neon sign that Kenny is screwed in a one-on-one match with Archer.

Ever since this face turn started, we're starting to finally get the Archer that I thought was a star in the making in New Japan.

To be fair watching him put dudes through ceilings and in trash cans was hilarious but this is a much better fit for him, just "Kill everyone that angers me".

I still loved that segment where he just wrecked a lockerroom and Jake Roberts had a real “God, he’s at it again, I’m just going to wait until he calms down, why would I do anything else?” aura of parent.

He looked like a damn star tonight.
Yes, he took the pin, but he needed to be put down by three guys for it happen with one of them being a world champion who doesn’t look like he’d be able to beat Archer on his own.
Ass-kicking babyface Lance Archer is a lot of fun.

Monster face is a lot harder to book than monster heel, but Archer his doing his part perfectly. His recent bump in work quality the past few years has gone really well with him fulfilling a vibe that AEW doesn't really have otherwise. Luchasaurus is there, but he's not that same kind of monster. Archer as the destructive anti-hero face chewing through everything in his path is pure money

I liked that he got protected in the match(ate a magic killer, Vtrigger and a super OWA) Plus a double dick kick. Like, the only thing more they could have done would be like a mortar strike.

As I've said since he debuted in AEW, even when he was floundering, Archer has what it takes to be AEW world champion. Maybe not a *long run* - the ME scene is packed and he's pretty old - but there's absolutely no reason Archer can't fill that late 90s face Kane role in the company. At the very least I want to see him murdering dudes as the TNT champ.

I guess all those fans in the Impact Zone did see something special in a kid called Hoyt. :)

I guess all those fans in the Impact Zone did see something special in a kid called Hoyt. True, though he's pretty gracious about TNA and WWE both not really using him on a top level, especially the latter. Paraphrasing, but his take was that he didn't have the confidence yet and that Japan was where he built his confidence, with his performances improving quite a bit once he had presence.

I always thought he had potential but I think back then they just liked to chant Hoyt.

This year should be the year Lance gets a title(TNT) before he suffers the Braun syndrome.

The match was structured in a way that makes you wonder if he's getting the PPV title shot. I always thought it would be Moxley but it would make sense to hold off on that so it doesn't interfere with his KENTA feud.
