You will be hooked after the first 20 mins I really could just never get into it personally. I only actually got around to trying it a couple of years ago and played up through the end of the hotel setpiece and it was just kind of, "This gameplay is fine, I guess, rather bleh, and I don't like any of these people." Maybe it'd change if I actually went back and finished it but never found myself with any real desire to. In preparation for the show, I decided to go back to the game. I also decided to go into hard mode. I wonder how much of a challenge "Survivor" and "Grounded" are. Anyway, as for the show, I could see that elements from the first game are adapted. I doubt we'll see much of any elements like characters from the second game, but we don't need to, either. Maybe season 2? I wonder who could play Abby. |

Many reviews are stating episode 3 (featuring the backstory of Bill and Frank) is the standout amongst the really good episodes of the season.

I'm so excited this is tomorrow, I've been waiting so long for it. Many reviews are stating episode 3 (featuring the backstory of Bill and Frank) is the standout amongst the really good episodes of the season. Murray Bartlett (Frank) was fantastic in White Lotus and Welcome to Chippendales, so this doesn't surprise me. |

I listen to Scriptnotes, a podcast for screenwriters, and it is hosted by John August (Big Fish) and the writer/executive (and one episode director) for The Last of Us Craig Mazin, and I liked how Craig noted on the last show that he went back to the game and really caught himself off guard on what parts were incredibly similar and what parts they deviated from.
Should be interesting to see which is which.

I liked they kept the line "I sell hardcore drugs" Gabriel Luna as Tommy really sounded the same as well |

Great episode, never doubted that Mando would kill it as Joel. The wait till next Sunday is gonna be torture though might just need to pop the game in and do a replay to tide me over
