Vert good interview from Tony with Bryan and Mike. I get a kick out of how Tony didn't know OC and was super pumped when he found out Orange used to be Fire Ant in Chikara.
Really wish he would have dropped some names for who didn't listen to him but should have. Got some ideas though.

Apparently Jhan is gonna drop updates about future content this week, so I'm very excited to hear all of this stuff.

It’s endearing as f*** to watch Mike & Bryan become enamored with how enthusiastically and joyous of a wrestling fan Tony’s always been.
Love the cat.

I love that someone who was a huge fan of Buddy Landel and was excited to sign Fire Ant runs the second biggest wrestling company in America. It just brings me such joy.
In talking about convincing Trent to sign, he talks about other people who didn't sign, I wonder who they were? I know Good Brothers, but I wonder who else.

They KNEW the rumble spot and push with rumored creative control within 6 months to get out if need be contract, and they Still ended up with TK. Promises HAD to be made

He has hinted about it in various interviews and even on Total Bellas that he was potentially eyeing AEW when his contract expired and it seems that Brie convinced him to take the sure thing in the WWE money as AEW at the time was just in the beginning stages of formation.

I remember Orton using them as bait to get a fat ass contract. My personal guesses are: - Adam (his whole crew and significant other is literally there, but the future HBK slot gotta be nice to have going forward) - Cobb (the first of many who USED imho AEW for better spots in other territories) - AJ (we've all heard the dynamite opener plans)

I wish he would leave WWE anyway. AEW's a better place for him to put over younger talent.

I'm trying to think who all there was... The Good Brothers admitted when they did their Talk N Shop podcast when they signed with Impact that they wish they would have gone with the AEW deal (they were gonna end the first Dynamite laying out the Bucks... Anderson also was gonna win the US title from Mox in New Japan) but they also said said money was too good. Who were free agents when AEW was starting? I remember them going hard after Bandido but because there was no guarantee he wouldn't commit

Plus he’s on the creative team for Smackdown, which is churning out high quality television.

In talking about convincing Trent to sign, he talks about other people who didn't sign, I wonder who they were? I know Good Brothers, but I wonder who else. I know they really wanted Bandido as well and he's been doing fine in ROH but I do think he absolutely had the ability to be a much bigger name in AEW. He did just resign there so I'm sure he's happy and making decent money but unless they turn around business wise in the next few years, I could definitely see him eventually leaving for one of the two bigger companies.

If one of the people that regrets not signing was Daniel Bryan, just a friendly reminder, his contract is up this year with WWE
WWE will probably throw a bus at him to keep him, but if it was hard to convince him to stay when AEW was a fledgeling, it's gonna be even harder now.

I think he will stay with WWE because I think he is happy becoming a backstage guy and Brie is planning a WWE comeback. Knowing him from Divas (which I watched religiously years ago), I don't think he would spend that much time away from his wife and two infant children.

Yeah and they still have the Total Bellas show, produced by WWE, which Bryan plays a fairly large role in.

It was just an issue of timing. They apparently fully expected to work more, with both parties satisfied and Cody saying Cobb was going to do at least one more match, and then the pandemic happened. I think it was just a case of "shit happens".

I think for a lot of guys it was a tough choice. Solid dependable money or rolling the dice with a new start-up.

And thats why i think it'll be real interesting in the upcoming years, cuz the 'E is tryna lock down everyone (ie. Ricochet,Riddle) but for every new starry eyed goober they hook, there'll be big time players who are jaded looking to make a move away.

I'm assuming Khan was referencing Warhorse there when taking about Cody's list and regrets. Schiavone previously made reference to him as well.
