Adora was really good but, Miu really impressed me a ton. Her selling was impeccable.

And we've got Heidi Howitzer, the main reason I'm watching this one live! Excited to see how she does on a big stage like this.

WOAH.
I seriously did not expect a title change here, I figured Heidi was in to take a fall...
(Gotta wonder if the original plan likely being Abadon is relevant here.)
But alright then, I'm super looking forward to more of these two in TJPW. Feels like the style is a good fit for them.

Sad that Yuki/Saki lost but very happy for Max and Heidi. Can see them holding the belts until March at least at the US show.

Yuka hit Yamashita with a reverse frankensteiner out of the ring and Yamashita landed legit head first on the concrete.

I’m not sure if it’s amazing selling or not but I’m a bit worried about Miyu. That fall was nasty.

Wasn’t a big fan of Yuka’s selling during that one. Match just didn’t seem to click for me.

Wasn’t a big fan of Yuka’s selling during that one. Match just didn’t seem to click for me. I enjoyed the match (once it was clear Miyu was ok after that bump) but no way should Yuka have been getting up so quickly from those kicks. Enjoyed the tag match, Misao Vs Shoka and Endo falling over even more, just sums up what I love about tjpw. The commentary is so wholesome too, Drew marking out with his buddy and them both being very careful to use the correct pronouns. I hope he can join Chris more often.

Miyu did get concussed on that bump to the floor and won't be travelling to defend her EVE title this weekend.
She did look out of it but seemed to largely recover, it's amazing wrestlers seem to get by on muscle memory in that situation.
Also makes me wonder if Yuka had to keep getting up quickly because Miyu wouldn't know what to do next otherwise. Edit: oh crap forgot about the stupid headbutt, ffs Yuka.

I swear I'm not going to fan-enby everything that Heidi Howitzer does, but "Put the joshi down. We're here to win, we're not here to kidnap joshis!" was funny enough to overcome my complicated feeling about the use of "joshi" as a noun in wrestling and I kind of really want a gifset of the whole exchange.

That's amazing.
Did briefly get to talk to Heidi, she said that winning the titles feels so surreal, but obviously, in a great way.

I like the dynamic of Max not really understanding what's happening and Heidi having some limited control. Like Max Vs Pom even more, hope Pom gets a win one day. Also as I posted in the GCW thread an unsmiling Maki Itoh doing Nick Gage's entrance was great.

I was actually thinking last night about who would be the best partner for Pom if the goal were to make her a serious competitor without taking away any of her charm or nonsense.
The answer is probably going to be Yuki Aino, but...the most blessed possibility would be Ryo Mizunami if she were to hang around for a long enough stretch, and now I badly want to see that team someday.

Probably taken around WK (as Yuka is in the US right now). She did say she wanted to wrestle Miyu:

Oh, DMs. I've talked to her a handful of times, usually only if something major is happening in her career I want to congratulate her on, like when she was on Dark the first time.

Not TJPW but, related via DDT and an interesting bit of news:
A familair face to Puro fans has dethroned Yuki Ueno as DDT Universal Champion: Naruki Doi.

Catching up on the tag tournament, can't believe Daisy Monkey is out already when there's still some underwhelming teams.
Also annoyed Himawri is out too, she's pretty good already. It's rare a new act come so fully formed. That crowd seemed to love Uehara Wakana even more, nice to have cheering back. The trios match was great fun.
