It's really to the point where the guy who defeats Reigns has to be someone who just continually gets the better of Roman, to the point where Roman's usual psychological warfare just doesn't work and this wrestler just beats him at every turn. There’s only a couple of people who have won feuds against Roman in recent years. And I really don’t picture Miz being the one to take him down, for example. Brock might, but would anyone want that? Realistically, Big E could… but he’s stuck in the IC Title orbit and time’s quickly running out for him to be heated up before Summerslam.

The longer this goes there will be no choice but to put it back on Brock because no one got built up...instead they got Brock'ed and he isn't even around. And when it happens people are gonna come out and say...in heindsight they should have put the belt on so and so.

Brock was put above everyone. Roman was then put above everyone else... So even if Roman beat Brock the two were literally so much higher than the rest of the roster that it made everyone look worse.

I don't really know why, "Rey and his son get the shit kicked out of them, Rey wants revenge, Rey gets the shit kicked out of him again," was an angle they felt like repeating but apparently they did.

I'm convinced Roman's only losing the title via MITB cash in.

But it's a great angle that I want to see repeated again & again. As long as Rey doesn't win, of course.

I'm convinced Roman's only losing the title via MITB cash in. I'm half expecting Money in the Bank cash in where he retains thanks to Jimmy and Jey saving his ass.

This week we had the two ends of the spectrum with heel champion booking. Tonight, we had another convincing title defense in a long line of them by Reigns. Meanwhile, on RAW, Lashley got pinned by his #1 contender.
Somewhere in between those two points is our sweet spot.

The logical endgame here is Summerslam, but I honestly don’t even know who I’d get excited for to beat him

I’m so off the heel Reigns wagon, but anyone kicking the shit out of the Mysterios is just hilarious.

Or Jimmy or Jey winning the briefcase, which they surrender to Roman, who smashes it up with a sledgehammer or something and destroys it.

Retained his title at Takeover, but not in an irritating "dominant" way.

Given the rumor that this run is somehow supposed to end in Roman being the top face, I'm kind of half expecting that he'll hold it all the way to Money in the Bank of next year, get cashed in on, and we'll be supposed to feel bad about it for some reason.

Though, from what I gathered, the irritation with Kross isn't so much that he's dominating the good guys, it's just that he's not clicking as a champion whatsoever. And even then, Kross (at least up until this past Tuesday, when they seemed to just make him a clear heel) was in such a weird spot in terms of alignment that the issues that people have with Roman don't really exist.

The logical endgame here is Summerslam, but I honestly don’t even know who I’d get excited for to beat him The only issue with that is, all the chat is that the opponent there is gonna be Cena. And if he wins it, that would mean that ALL OF THIS has just been to help get the last guy, in his first match in nearly a year and a half, to get the record for most world titles as opposed to trying to make a new star. The ends wouldn't justify the means. At least the stuff with Lesnar ended up helping to legitimise McIntyre.
