Possible Scenario  Garrett Bischoff is announced as the mystery participant in a fatal fourway match for the vacated NWA World Title. Bishcoff gets on the mic briefly and cuts a face promo and thanks Billy Corgan for the opportunity. The other participants in the match are Anthony Maywwather, The Pope, and EC3. During the match the referee gets distracted by Pope and EC3 fighting outside the ring, Mayweather has Bishcoff down for a possible three count, then all of a sudden, Cody Hall jumps into the ring and hits the Razors edge on Mayweather then lays Bischoff over him and the referee turns around just to count the pin and declare Garrett Bischoff the new NWA World Champion. Cody Hall helps Garrett to his feet and they celebrate just as Joe Galli proclaims "Its the greatest swerve in history!!!" and the fans look bewildered. Aftermath is an epic feud between Anthony Mayweather and Garrett Bischoff for the world Title. Hmmm???

Man, I really wish the NWA could've remained an NWA. I know it won't ever be like it was in its heyday again, but it was a pretty solid setup under David Marquez. They had a bunch of regional NWA promotions, with a touring World Champion. And Marquez produced a small tv show for them. Instead, it's just Billy Corgan producing a small tv show by himself. The NWA could have been a solid 4 or 5 in US companies. Behind the WWE and AEW and depends on the TV deal ROH could be 3 again. But Impact right now is 3. The NWA issue is Corgan booking and being hard head about it. Plus not enough capital to keep the good talent to stay. If they could kept the talent they had pre pandamic (Eli Drake, Ricky Starks, Thunder Rosa, and ext) With everyone they did have worth while. And not PO Aldis to where leaves. The NWA should be up there. The NWA I think could be really good if they kept the regional stuff but still have some kind of bigger TV show weekly that rotates talent from different regions and have big PPVs shows a few times a year that brings the talent together. Maybe have a pool if bigger name talent that travels to the different regions to help them gain some ticket sales and attention. Aldis as champion did a LOT of traveling and since he lost it the other champions haven't. Cardona could do that but he got hurt shortly after winning it. Thats the thing, the champion needs to also be a talent other companies are willing to book. Tryus you don't need anywhere else. Trevor doesn't get booked a lot outside of the company either. |

"G-Rilla" was in developmental/house shows/dark matches for a LONG time before they finally debuted him. And then when he debuted as Del Rio's lackey, disappeared, got vignettes for MONTHS for a return gimmick, which went so long it was meme'd on the actual program itself... and then well... someone called his Momma. Never ever forget from his re-debut "YOU SUCK BRODUS!" "My Bad!" I love that he treats that gimmick like it was holding him back. My good man, not only was that gimmick your ceiling, it was somehow above your ceiling. |

NO ONE BUT HIM... thought he was going to work as a badass main event star... as I said multiple times Lower Card pop the crowd guy is one of the most secure jobs you can have and it's perfect for someone as basically immobile as Tyrus. He'd likely STILL be in the WWE now... or at least be one of their occasional one off surprises. I mean Scotty 2 hotty was in the WWE for like 10 years on the roster and then kept showing up randomly until like last year. |

NWAUSA this week...sigh. Normally I'd be all over this show because it's almost entirely women's matches, but the Champions Series crap is so bad that it's sucking the life out of everything.
