tbf the Mox/Kingston thing SEEMS like a questionable fanfic set up to begin with. People surviving something they thought was going to kill 'em, is a classic

It was a botch that they will get over. It really doesn’t change that fact that AEW makes a mostly excellent TV show and I will not regret the feeling of anticipation I had for it. Because I thought it was a wonderful show up until the explosion botch. I probably need a thicker skin because I was super depressed about how it all went down and the reactions to people laughing at it to people trashing the company. Now I can probably handle the laughing at it because it was really lame. But the people who were just waiting for AEW to fail at something really bummed me out and probably angered me a bit. But that’s not that big of a deal either. AEW will have a great show tomorrow and then we will look on to Double or Nothing. I wouldn't say get a thicker skin but maybe learn to laugh at yourself/AEW a bit. Every company has monumental botches and hilarious shit like this, and that's perfectly fine. I'm sure some jumped down the throat of it to declare AEW as a failure on the back of it but I think most just saw it like a Shockmaster moment, or the lever in the WCW electric chair thing falling off, or the X falling down in the Ultimate X match. Production botches happen, they are more often than not hilarious. My promotion has only had one show and we had a botch with the wrong music playing, we didn't edit it out of the show because shit like that is funny.

Your telling me your gonna have a exploding death match and you don't have any Roman candles, bottle rockets, whistling buttholes, hoosker dos ,Hoosier donts, No m80s , no black cats, flowing tornados with or without the scooter stick. Tk: " snakes and sparklers are all I like."

I'll accept that stuff can go wrong. I'm just glad they already set up the out by mentioning that Kenny did the explosives himself.
Honestly though, given that they were clearly going for the Onita v Funk ending I'm surprised they didn't also take the note to have a bunch of those "throw a shit ton of smoke and powder in the air" boxes dotted around the apron, which would have really made the effect work on their own.

Haven’t seen it yet, but from what I’ve read (especially on the Observer boards), a lot of people were unhappy with the show overall. The ending was just the topper. I've seen a lot of genuinely positive feedback, but a lot of people have overblown the Christian reveal and this incident to make it "The worst AEW PPV Ever" I still don't put this under All Out in quality, even the Matt Hardy moment at All Out was worse than this botch, at least this botch was in the end harmless stuff you can laugh at. All Out 2020 also had the most disappointing match ever in FTR vs Omega and Hangman that the crowd barely reacted to it and had a confusing postmatch. At least at Revolution 2021, the crowd was lively until the end

It was an act of true love that diffused the explosives.

On the Tonys' Paid Ad during IMPACT this week, they ran with the "Kenny might be a great wrestler, but he's not a great ring builder" thing.

Revolution at least had the amazing Ryo Mizunami/Hikaru Shida match, as well as a solid tag opener and the finish to Hangman/Hardy.

It wasn't. Revolution was frankly a good show until the last few minutes. Some people weren't fans of the Ladder Match or Christian's Reveal just because they wanted a bigger name but overall the PPV had some really good, solid matches. And I thought Hardy had some of the best storytelling work in his Hangman Match so it was definitely an improvement for him lol.

Meh. It sucked out loud. I'm an AEW mark (much as I hate to use that term), and that sucked out loud. You can still be a fan and say it was goofy and a flat-ass finish.
AEW will be fine. TNA/Impact is somehow still around and whole tomes could be made of their booking stupidity compared to AEW's. I think WWE has been stale as year-old bread since 2015 at a minimum, but they're still going.
You laugh at it and you move on.

WWE did two finishes that were literally just as stupid the following day and nobody batted an eyelid.

Another proof that they didnt take down the Revolution ending for being botched, and it was just for copyright issues..

I’m not saying WWE lets people get away with Murder in terms of copyright but it feels a tad more stricter on their end then WWE’s.

People havent had content pulled like this before now and they are using copyright as the reason since YouTube won't let them take things down out of embarrassment..

Yeah, like, I can get it if it's full clips with no dialogue but if they're people narrating over it with no sound as this seems to be? That seems like an OTT reaction to me. For all of WWE's ignoring of the media, they've done stuff with Cultaholic, WhatCulture and WrestleTalk so when this stuff happens...yeah...
