SummerSlam 1998 is missing the video package for the ladder match between The Rock and Triple H, and I've heard it has been removed from the regular WWE Network, too.

I'm pretty sure the Mickie spot was cut from the Network since day one. It was cut from the WM 22 DVD in 2006 but differently from WWE Network. On the Network, they just hide it with a crowd shot. On the DVD, they actually removed a few seconds of footage. Part of the reason it was cut is that it wasn't planned, and Vince would have likely said "no" had Mickie asked. Wasn’t the story that Mickie James tells is she'd just won the title and was obviously delighted and she comes through the curtain and Vince is losing his shit at her about sponsors and how they’ll have to edit the DVD ?

Did it have DX Nation clips in it? A close up on triple h for a few seconds. The wwe network won’t be worth the money at this rate. I will say again I don’t understand why they don’t go the Disney + route and have a disclaimer. I mean my understanding is that peacock has law and order on it which has some poor taste words used and some gruesome scenes. I don’t recall hearing that being removed from their service. edit: in kind of related news I see an episode of spongebob squarepants has been removed because the episode involves a flu and there’s quarantine. I mean for god sake it’s a fictional show about sea creatures made years ago. Again law and order have an episode where coronavirus is mentioned(years before now) so I suppose that will be removed. It seems like using a hammer to crack a nut. It’s why I applaud Disney + because it gives the viewer the choice to watch or not.

Look. I get people are mad and I don't mean to start stuff, but is retaining footage of wrestlers dropping n-bombs and wearing black face truly important? It's going to be easy to find on YouTube and in other places.
What I think is different here from some of the Disney cases cited is that most of that stuff was from like...60 years ago. It's not as modern as the other stuff. I can completely understand why a public company wouldn't want a clip that is still somewhat contemporary of their performers in blackface on Peacock. Mark Henry told stories about being furious with it at the time. It just feels - to me, at least - like the right thing for them to do.

Well Aladdin is early nineties so it’s just stuff from decades ago that has the disclaimer on it and I think Disney has handled it in the correct by not ignoring the issues with the stuff but not removing it either. My issue is peacock are editing stuff in countries they don’t have any access to. Peacock is for the US wwe network yet it’s editing a service in countries outside of there. I know I’ve commented on this a few times abs thankfully no one has called my any names or accused me of condoning any of the content being removed yet. people should be allowed to make their own choices is my point. People aren’t idiots and are well able to choose not to watch something that offends them. “Viewer discretion is advised” used to cover all bases at one time.

For anything that could potentially offend sponsors, Ric Flair's "making virgins bleed" promo on Orton may not make it.

And on a lighter note, the Battle for Breakfast may not make it either if General Mills decide to buy ad space on the Network.

It was cut from the international airings of Raw the week it happened. Typically, anything that was said or done without Vince's approval that he didn't like gets cut. The segment that got Big Cass fired where he was told to just kick the guy playing Daniel Bryan and ignored those instructions is another example. It is edited to not show the part after the kick where he started punching the guy.

Here's what Mark said about it in 2017 in a discussion with Ron Simmons and The Godfather: Was that said on WWE programming like Table for 3? If so, that could be why Henry would paint it in a good light knowing where it was airing and then giving his actual feelings on the Busted Open show.

What did he say on Busted Open? That quote about X-Pac is pretty consistent as they both have said X-Pac wasn't comfortable doing it.

It's like they're uploading these shows at random.

It's like they're uploading these shows at random. I like that they're uploading the shows quicker than we expected, but it really is at random.

The 2004 and 2005 editions of Backlash are not yet up. I don’t remember if there was anything objectionable in 2004, but 2005 had a prominent match with Muhammad Hassan.
