Hurricane OAD 5/1/86 (Part 1) 5-8-86 (Part 2)
Hurricane Mel turns the courtroom into a delivery room when 4 pregnant women are trapped in the courtroom along with the N.C. gang and they must give birth now. This two parter puts a fine cap on the 3rd season. a good thing they didn't end this season on a cliffhanger as Florence Halop would pass away after this season ended. But we know the old saying: it's always darkest before dawn as Halop's passing would lead to a crucial final piece of the puzzle to be introduced to the equation for season 4... ****

Having watched the first three seasons, there was one constant, the cast changed every season of the three, the only main ones ones in the first three seasons who stayed throughout them were the big 3 of Harry, Dan and Bull, but slowly but surely, crucial pieces were added and would eventually stick for the remainder of the run, Mac in season two, Christine in season 3 but season 4 would be the last to feature a change in the main cast: with the passing of Flo which Harry briefly references in the beginning of the 4th season would lead to the final piece of the puzzle being put in place: Rosalind "Roz" Russel. This my friends is the beginning of peak Night Court.
The Next Voice You hear OAD 10-2-86 Harry's distracted from a courtroom full of ventriloquists and their dummies by the delivery of a letter from his mother, mailed fifteen years earlier. This episode marks the debuts of not only Roz but Buddy Ryan who was married to Harry's late mother in an enjoyable episode to kick off season 4 ****1/4
Giving Thanks OAD 10-9-86 After saving Christine from choking to death with the Heimlich maneuver Dan wants to sleep with her. An good episode ***1/4

I am glad Christine's father didn't become a regular. I would regard any show having an episode with Eugene Roche as one of the worst. He had a gimmick he played in every show and it was just not entertaining. I'm sure he was a really nice guy because he seemed to be in almost all of the 1980s, early 90s TV shows. I know he was in a few of the Murder, She Wrote's but really detracted from those episodes for me. He was also in a Magnum PI that was used to give him a pilot for his own PI show and I don't think that happened. He played a bumbling old school PI and was way too much (attempted) comedy for the show. If he had stayed on Night Court it would have only hurt the development of the Christine character. On the other hand, adding John Astin in his episodes as Harry's father were very entertaining.

BUMP!
It's time to resume what I have started once again
Contempt of Courting OAD: 11-27-1986
Harry returns and finds a lovely woman substituting on the bench for him, who likes him a lot and jails Christine for mouthing off about perceived mistreatment of a client. Fine for what it is ***2/3
Earthquake OAD: 12-4-86 A mild earthquake traps Dan and Roz and two wrestlers in an elevator. Meanwhile Harry has to deal with three kids who are spitting images for Dan, Christine, and Harry himself. This is another fine episode but I feel the B-story of Harry dealing with kid spitting images of Dan Christine and Harry was more compelling then Dan and Roz trapped in the elevator with sumo wrestlers ****

Ok saw LAFF is airing the last 2 seasons currently. Set the DVRR and been watching 2 or so each day.
Haven't seen these episodes since their originally aired. But I for some reason remember Bull dating Lizette. Maybe even being engaged to her. I love Lizette. By the time she got added the show was started to get a bit stale, since the cast had been the same for 4 oor so years. And she added a new zany character that the show didn't have.
