So...this puts an interesting wrench in things because that would have been a justifiable reason to move NXT if that was true... Independent of wrestling, I think NHL will have to sign with NBC. They still need a network tv home and ABC/ESPN won’t give them time with the NBA hogging up the weekends |

They still need a network tv home and ABC/ESPN won’t give them time with the NBA hogging up the weekends Oh, it seems likely it will and by all accounts, the deal is "done" according to people in the industry but like you said, seems more likely to be NBC themselves then giving it to USA. Or they could take most of them and give a smaller game to USA on occasion, thus keeping the spot free? Who knows? |

By all accunts NHL and NBC are going to sign and as you said it was a done deal internally. But, if another cited reason was simply because NXT was going to do better independant of "Warring" with AEW and that's what USA really wanted in the end, then they're succeeding so far since they've seen good gains in the first two weeks, and that's with having to deal with the news of this past Tuesday as well. |
