Damn, looks like it progressed rapidly in a year.
Just sad. And the news comes so soon after Kevin Green passing makes it worse.

That f***ing sucks. I remember the 4 Horsemen DVD, and despite fans not liking Mongo in the Horsemen, Flair and Arn couldn't stop praising him. They loved him in the Horsemen. He had the swagger, the obnoxious attitude and the presence of a Horseman. I marked when he Tombstone'd Double J's strutting ass.

Shit man...
I mean, I cannot mince words, ALS is cruel. Just a terrible disease that you would not wish on a soul.
Mongo... I mean, what can you say? Love him, hate him, he left an impression in two sports and from all accounts, pretty aces guy. Just... dude, there are not words to express how awful this is for him, his family, friends and fans.

Terrible news. Awful illness. Him becoming a Horseman was one of those well done 90s WCW angles that really stood out at the time.

Terrible news. Having watched a grandparent slowly succumb to a neurodegenerative disease, it’s not something I would even wish on my worst enemy.

Wow, I saw the video where he revealed it, he lost a LOT of weight from when I last saw him. Such a sad thing to here. It's terrible to see anybody go through it. When he said stuff like no longer making any appearances or unable to even sign his name. That is such heartbreaking things. You can tell in the interview that was hard to admit that he can't do those things. I felt for him. He may not been the greatest wrestler but he left his mark. He is a legend in football. I just wish the best for him as he goes through it.

That really sucks, I'm pulling for him.
I can actually see Botchamania whipping up a very touching tribute for Mongo, that show brought him many new fans I have to imagine

Sad to hear about the diagnosis, but it's good that he still has his sense of humor in spite of what he's been going through.

Honest time: never liked the guy. Always came across as a real asshole on TV, even as a Packer-I don't like former Bears on my favorite team, especially this guy. (I live in the Chicago area, so I've seen more than my share of Ming the Merciless on TV. The last episode of Sports Sunday he co-hosted, he just tore up the set.)
But NOBODY deserves this. I wouldn't wish this kind of harm on my worst enemy.
I pray he can be at peace in his final years. That he still has his sense of humor is great.

I feel bad for Mongo. I grew up watching him as a Bears fan when I was a kid. Followed his post football career in WCW as well.

Mongo had a charismatic personality that fit the professional wrestling world very well. You could tell that he was having a blast being out there. It's a shame that he's having to go something as horrible as ALS. Wishing him and his family the best.

Can't afford the Go Fund Me and the shirt. So went with the shirt. Seems $30 well spent if all the money is going to Steve and family

It is good to see Ric Flair visiting him. For as crazy and self centered Ric seems I do believe he really loves the guys he worked closely with and I'm sure it meant just as much to him as Steve that he visited. As for Steve, I will truly never understand how the medical profession has gone over 80 years and not been able to find a cure for this deadly illness and also cancer and dementia/alzheimer's.
