We also have new Venom music (language warning, obviously):
Gotta say, Eminem being the official sound of Venom is very fitting in a "Limp Bizkit is WWF's favorite band" kind of way. I also love that Eminem is still trying to make Skylar Grey a thing (all jokes aside, "Everything I Need" is in my top five favorite superhero movie pop hits).

It was dumb fun.
The short run time was fine, the movie didn’t over stay it’s welcome. It just jumped right in to the wackyness.
The movie felt like superhero film from the early 00s, and some scenes felt like the mask or some goofy 90s family film.
Much better than the first one which felt like it didn’t have a second act.

Don't worry, I'm sure Andy Serkis has a four-hour Snyder Cut copy sitting in a film case somewhere in his basement. If I recall, heard he's said he does have a director's cut, but that it's like maybe 20 minutes longer, so if we see it, it's probably nothing super wild.

I only have one complaint about the movie. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}How do you do a movie featuring Carnage and NOT use Green Jelly's Carnage Rules?
Sony even owns the label the song was released under. There was no excuse.

{Spoiler}So the symbiote known as Venom is an alien creature which explains all of its wondrous abilities that are beyond anything seen on our own planet. Meanwhile here's this chick who has superpowers because.....? Let's not even mention it!

Just saw it. Like the first one, it doesn't take itself too seriously, not every super hero movie needs to be MCU/DCEU 'high stakes over dramatic' type movie. But I can still understand why some might not like it, but it was enjoyable. But... {Spoiler}Shriek was all about death and destruction BUT killing Anne would be taking it to far? I mean when huh? And why did Carnage need to grow above the building to kill Anne (besides dramatic effect and give Venom time to heal up) just to kill Anne, just bite her head off.
Also, glad they didn't go the route of Eddie and Anne get back together at the end.

I mean, if you saw the first one, to me it was a little sillier but nothing too major. Serious enough when action stuff going on but the "Buddy Cop" stuff between Venom and Eddie was light hearted.

It's no more comedic then anything like the Guardians of the Galaxy or Ant-Man movies. It's more light-hearted then you'd probably expect considering the source material but it's not doing anything you haven't seen before.

After she bonds with the symbiote briefly, the experience drives her into a depression and she commits suicide. She left behind a son between her and Eddie though, Dylan, who's recently become the Venom of Earth

I'm hoping {Spoiler}that a third movie doesn't become too much engrossed in the MCU and just let it do its own thing. Sure, have Brock meet up with Spider-Man, but let's not make it into a world-ending scenario.
