I think this is the first time since a WCW Nitro/Thunder taping that wrestling has ever been in the UC. That’s gonna be a HUGE show.

See, I expected them to go quickly but that’s crazy.

I think Punk is justifying his signing just with these ticket sales alone.

I'm gonna be glued to how The United Center's presale ticket sales go This might be the most direct test of one individual's drawing power that I've ever seen in wrestling. It's literally asking you, are you willing to pay money to see CM Punk return live? Might be completely wrong about this but the answer to that question seems to be “Yes”? Bold statement, I know.

It seems like this show will break the attendance record. Kinda funny how it broke the attendance record of another show that hasn’t even happened yet. Lol

Totally wild
Chicago is just wrestling city saturated for a few weeks there.
AEW has their 4 shows
Warrior Wrestling is running a show on August 21, bringing in Jay White and Thunder Rosa among presumably many other names
GCW running and co-promoting a bunch of shows the biggest of which is their War Games show
And of course..... Skuffle in Skokie 3, brought to you by the Skokie Park District, featuring Rikishi.

I know other places don’t like that Chicago gets too many shows, but it’s one of the wrestling capitols of the country, so that makes me happy.

Lived in Chicago from 2009-2019, and was fortunate enough to get All In tickets. I mean Chicago is still just a 3 hour drive so it isn't too far, and it wouldn't be a big deal except for child care arrangements and hotel expenses.

Putting it in perspective, it’s still sort of crazy that AEW put on another show practically last minute and by the end of the weekend (or hell, the day) it could be sold out on first allocation for an arena they weren’t even targeting at the start of the month. That’s maddening.

AEW will never look more big time (with the exception of the Tennis Stadium show) they will look packing the United Center. A venue even the WWE traditionally didn't run due to how big it was.

They just about f***ing sold out a 13000 ticket gate
On Presale
For what is currently a One Hour Show (There's probably gonna be more taped there but the INITIAL one hour show)
For what is the PRESUMPTION that one man is going to return to wrestling. Not even compete... just RETURN.
There's a good chance with the layoff and the fact that he's now 42 CM Punk's wrestling workrate will have slowed down... but his overall star power has not faded... and I don't think it's going to.
FOX was right to be facepalming at WWE balking at Punk or Bryan being a huge deal to let go.
