I mean, in the deal they have, they get a massive cut of the advertising share so they technically would get money for that. If you listen to latest brandon thurston podcast, sponsor rates is not something which jumps week yo week - it's more long term trends No, but if you're one of the Top 10 shows in cable for your day, I'd say that those rates might be going rapidly up by now. Not that I'm an expert on these things but on the other hand, they've been in that spot for a while.

Punk’s first match should definitely be on PPV. Him wrestling again at all is its own draw regardless of opponent.

Tony Knan and Cody have both extensively talked about how TV is more important to revenue than PPV is. Putting anything on TV drives AEW longterm. You get big matches on PPV because you get no commercials breaking up the action, and you can end one cycle of opponents, moving to another. 100% you put a Punk match on TV, pop a rating, Turner is happy, pays more on the other side. House shows and PPV, merch, that's all secondary to the TV deal they are working for.

Aew dynamite is top show on Wednesday - warner will have competition for rights when they come up

AEW already are doing the best PPV numbers since WCW, If I recall. But AEW is a TV First company. Not to mention, you mean to tell Me if you announce MONTHS ahead of time that CM Punk will wrestle his first match at The United Center on Thanksgiving Eve, you won't increase viewership? Hell they could announce on Dynamite this week with the video they are shooting today, "We'll be in the United Center for Dynamite. It's going to be subtitled "The First Dance", and it'll feature the return of this man. CM Punk." you show Punk walking into frame while 'Sirius' plays and he could say "I'll be returning to the ring on November 24th, but that won't be the first time you see me. I'll be watching Dynamite and Rampage, and then at All Out, I'll make My challenge and call My shot. I'll have a live microphone and can not be censored." Boom, All Out gets even more added interest, you sell the idea that "The First Dance" is going to be as important as a PPV (ala Winter is Coming).

Their Homecoming show has sold a ton of tickets recently thanks to the deal they have with the Wounded Warrior Project. It's going to end up being the 2nd highest attended Daily's Place show since the pandemic (the top one being Double or Nothing).

The card already looks good with Cody vs Malakai I assume being the main event.

Gotta put more effort in advertising, almost 3000 people in a 12k venue isnt a good look.

They should be in the 2000-2500 range by next week if it keeps up.

AEW’s heading to the United Center on August 20th for a Rampage episode billed as “The First Dance”. And given rumors, seems like the perfect place for a red-hot free agent to show up.

I'm gonna be glued to how The United Center's presale ticket sales go This might be the most direct test of one individual's drawing power that I've ever seen in wrestling. It's literally asking you, are you willing to pay money to see CM Punk return live?
