From Fightful Select:
Zelina Vega, also known as Thea Trinidad was at the WWE Performance Center on Thursday, May 13. We were told it wasn't just a visit, as she was being filmed for some reason there. Zelina left WWE in November when she was fired for not following third party policies. Her husband Aleister Black also hasn't wrestled since her firing, and only recently saw vignettes air for his return after Fightful had reports that he had not been backstage at Smackdown for quite a while.
We're working to learn the context of Zelina's appearance at the WWE PC, but have been told the working plan is for her to return to the company.

Part of me is happy she’d be back somewhere and getting paid but also sad this would end any kind of progress on unions once again. Between that and Andrew Yang…being Andrew Yang, that bums me out more than anything else.

Seriously, though... How does this even happen after the circumstances in which she got let go? They haven’t budged on the Twitch thing as far as I know, so did they just give her a blank cheque to come back? Were no other companies actually interested in her somehow?

I cannot see her back at the PC unless a) she's re-signed for more than her side hustles were making her in addition to her regular pay; and b) she's being brought back (again, on her terms) to fill out the women's division on the main roster.
She seems not to be the type who would settle or who would return cap-in-hand. No doubt, somebody came to her.

One hand, least she'll be working so people with jobs is a good thing, the other it just seems so hypocritical to go back to working at a place you tried to unionized because they're a crappy place to work for. I'm sure there's more to it and maybe I'm being too harsh or letting my own biases with the company color my thinking, it's just off putting to me is all.

I'm not going to jump to any conclusions until the purpose of the filming is released, but this is one of the stranger stories to happen this year.
I get that money is money, and can bend, if not break, your morals and beliefs, but I hope she sticks by hers.

I’d say the fact she’s even entertaining an offer to start with, if not outright taken it, tells me that her morals and beliefs on this specific matter aren’t THAT concrete.

Again, I'm curious to know who was doing the filming and for what purpose. If it was WWE letting a third-party film for another program, then very interesting. Small chance that is what happened, but it could have been a good will gesture, especially if she is shooting a documentary on her experience there.

She's going to get the hacker gimmick that Sami Callihan was gifted.

I guess those news site that reported that AEW was interested in her wasn't true if this is the case. She been MIA for some reason on twitch for a while now too.

I wonder if they made her go through the Supplicants entrance.
In all seriousness, between the way they treated her and her husband after they fired her, I hope this isn't a sign that she's crawling back and going back on the stand she made.

Makes me wonder if she really ever had that strong of feelings towards her cause if she was willing to go back. I guess I don’t blame her selling out. I hope the money is worth it to her.

Considering she didn’t really get much backing on her stands for unionization and it looks like that movement is not going anywhere, I wouldn’t blame her for going back. She’s in the prime of her career.

For the people thinking she would have went to AEW, you do realize that both Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes are actively against unions, right? Tony has been vocal in the past about the players association for the NFL, to the point of where the NFLPA actively warns players from signing with the Jags due to their anti-union practices.
Also she is likely coming back because the income from her Twitch stream and OnlyFans ended up plummeting after she was released.

Yeah, while it’s unfortunate that WWE is able to stop its workers from using those services, I’d imagine the revenue from those sources shrinks substantially when you’re not on the big stage every week.
