To be fair, replacing Ezra was never an option this late in the game. They'd already spent $250 million on the movie, a movie in which the lead is mostly acting against himself, which means even more expensive VFX. Not only would they have ballooned the budget even further, but they would've had to push the release date down another year, putting off Gunn's fresh start even further.
To be balanced, on the other hand, scrapping The Flash was always an option, so get f***ed Asslav.

That situation's frustrating because Paramount are so obviously the assholes in it and like, I don't like conceding any ground on anything to WBD.

WB for some reason thought the Flash was going to be Dark Knight big...

I guess they though spamming Keaton-Batman all over the trailers would be enough to push it into the promised land. These studio heads are imbeciles.

Not to mention one is a sequel to one of the best rated super hero movies at that time... The other is a sequel to a movie series the general audience generally haven't liked, and critics hated.

They seem to be still dumping a shitload of money into promoting this because presently the entire video section on the Xbox store front page is one giant Flash ad.

Continuing to throw this much good money after bad in the middle of the biggest Hollywood strike in over half a century is certainly a choice.

I'm pretty sure any advertising at this point was paid for months ago. There's zero chance they're spending a dime further on it.

YEah, like the NFT thing that was undoubtedly worked into the budget like a year and a a half to two years ago... when NFTs were more of a thing.

Hey, so remember "Scooby Doo and Krypto, too!", the other Scooby Doo film that was written off but got leaked online by someone presumably working on it and nobody really heard much about afterwards?
I guess it actually exists now?
EDIT: Well, turned out it wasn't cancelled at all, just leaked but I'm including it with all this because it only added to the chaos when it was going on.
