I think they're going for the classic design, but yeah. They stand out.

And once again JJ Abrams tries to reboot something unnecessarily.

And once again JJ Abrams tries to reboot something unnecessarily. Is this really something to lay at Abrams door? In the past 30 years we've had: - Batman: TAS (1992) - The New Batman Adventures (1997) - Batman Beyond (1999) - The Batman (2005) - Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2008) - Beware the Batman (2013) - Batman Unlimited (2015) Every five years or so DC pump out a new animated Batman show.

Not at all Abrams fault solely. My point was that Abrams keeps doing reboots no one asked for. I never said they weren't successful or that it wasn't standard for Batman. Although I would consider BTAS and TNBA as one series and Batman Beyond as a spin off of that show, not a reboot. Also, I don't get making a big deal out of Bruce Timm being involved. If they want to make more Batman The Animated Series, then make more. What's stopping them? They keep doing these Batman shows that people just compare to BTAS and mark out over when BTAS voice actors and writers are used. Stop half assing it and just bring the show back if that's what they want Batman to be.

There's also a preschool Batman show called "Batwheels" coming up on CN.

Even by that standard, DC have rebooted Batman four times since the Batman: TAS timeline. At this point it's standard operating procedure, Abrams or not.

Look, if we're gonna sit here and complain about old Batman cartoons not getting continuations, then I want Beware the Batman back. It had a ton of loose ends that were never resolved when it ended.

Bruce Timm's name raises more red flags for me than Abrams. Which is sad when you think about it.

I think it's pretty sad that at this point I see the name Bruce Timm and just assume, "Well, this is going to suck."
Or maybe it's just those awful ears.

I've always been a bit of a mark for the original Bat design, so I don't mind this.

It's just he picked his hill to die on with the Batgirl and Bruce 'ship.
