Because Velma turned out so great This was created with kids in mind, it's only been moved to Adult Swim because action cartoons don't pull in the same viewers on CN as it once did.

There wasn't any cynical deconstruction or edgelord humor pretending to be "progressive," so the Velma comparison really doesn't fly.

Only thing even close would be Jimmy Olson being made black, and even then he seems to be close to the original comics version (unlike the, admittedly older than usually portrayed, version from the "Supergirl" series)

Only thing I could see was Superman breaking things is kinda off... but it's a comedy bit

Clark is introduced as an intern, so I'm guessing he's still pretty young and probably doesn't have full control over his strength. So it works.

I am stoked.
Dana Delany's likely always going to be my top Lois, but I like the look of this quite a bit.

They made an adorkable Superman? I'm checking this out. He's voiced by Jack Quaid so I'm sure that helps

Tell me you've seen far too many anime openings without actually saying you've seen too many anime openings. Jokes aside, this is looking good alright.

Just realized I forgot about the premiere, definitely need to catch it on Max tomorrow.
Edit: Oh, next week, nevermind.

Just watched the first episode... it's not bad. edit: Heh the second episode specifically calls out him looking weird without the trunks... {Spoiler}looks like some version of Cadmus is the big bad... and Livewire looks like she might have a large part in it too...

Accidentally started with the second episode because Youtube TV makes this shit confusing sometimes, when I realized it I switched to the first. Kind of at first thought the show was just doing an in media res thing, does certainly help explain why the beginning was feeling very rushed.
That said did prefer the second episode over the first, but enjoyed it all around, am eager for more. Feels like the lifeblood of this show is Clark and Lois's dynamic and it's quite fun so far.
