im kinda hoping if theyre gonna do Smackdown vs Raw for Survivor Series that we get Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley and Liv finally gets her big win over Ripley Didn't Liv already beat her though? Granted I think Rhea beat her a few times first but I thought Liv won their last one on one. I think it was on the go home Raw going into Hell in a Cell where they had the six person match in which neither were involved in the fall. Unless I guess you just mean more in a high profile PPV match. |

Yeah, Morgan has beaten Ripley one-on-one, but there were a lot of outside shenanigans involved.

I am not really a believer in deserving belts in wrestling but Liv has committed hard to getting better and had almost nothing to show for it so props for being in the lineage. Can't take that shit away

The more I see it and feel it. This feels like Bret in 1992 winning the WWF title. She was over, she needed that big break. She NEEDED the belt to be validated. Honestly, I wish they would book her a babyface champion who takes on all comers. We've had our share of other female stars who won the title as face, but she does seem like the biggest pure babyface they have had as champion in a long time. |

I think the problem with booking her as the fighting champion is the substantial numbers of contenders that are WAY above her in the pecking order. Does a cash-in victory somehow give her the ability to beat the likes of Becky, Bailey, Asuka, a prepared Ronda, and of course Charlotte? Liv’s always been portrayed as a sentimental underdog, she’d have to instantaneously become a world-beater for the fighting champion angle to work. It would be like if Bret won the title on a fluke in 1990 (when he’d be dealing with Hogan, Warrior, Perfect, Savage, Earthquake, etc) instead of the thinned out roster he had to defend against in 92. |

Cole gets a lot of guff from fans, but he's been knocking it out the park in recent months. He seems much more invested in the product and it shows in his commentary.

In all honesty, pairing him up with Pat McAfee has helped a LOT with pulling Cole out of his shell after being drilled into a void for as long as he had. By having someone who ostensibly does not have the same kind of leash on him from Vince in relation to the others on the desk, he's able to feed off that energy McAfee exudes simply having a blast and doing his own thing. Take him or leave him, it's been a net positive for Smackdown's commentary either way IMHO.[/quote] |
