Gonna lock the thread again until there’s more releases. Trust us, we’ll know when there’s more. I’d like to note that if anything happens tomorrow, it’s not my fault this time, ok?

I guess it's time to bring this back considering, as of writing this post, Timothy Thatcher, Danny Burch and Hideki Suzuki have joined the PC coaches and staff in terms of releases.

I think for most of the talents released, the writing was on the wall a long time ago when Vince turned his attention to NXT and would have been part of an even bigger talent cut had they not needed to do damage control over their handling of the virus. From Vince's perspective, all the guys from NXT who were big names to the fans, they weren't big names to him, they were developmental talent who weren't what he wants in stars and on high wages compared to what they were paying inexperienced signees (Cezar Bononi was paid around 700 dollars a week) to boot. Roman and Randy are what Vince wants in terms of size, look, age and level of experience when signed, unfortunately most of the indie names Hunter signed are not. Hunter is out, so now there's no-one to run interference on talent relations the way he and JR did, Laurinaitis is a straight up conduit for Vince's will. So when Vince wants a clean slate, he'll cut no matter what the talents were doing. We probably haven't seen the end of the cuts, though many will come through contracts expiring, Regal and NXT trainers will probably ne swept up in the next round of cuts, with guys from the failed developmental programs of years passed given calls. Al Snow, Bill DeMott, even Hardcore Holly wouldn't bd out of the question as NXT is reshaped into DSW MKII. Well, hopefully I'm wrong about who they'll bring in to replace them.

It's like he's trying to give Trips another heart attack.

So, who is going to train these green as grass projects now Vince? Look at Omos and Azeez, that's the level of "training" Vince's happy with putting on national TV as long as it's big beefy men. And we're going to be seeing a lot more big beefy men coming up, I'm sure.

They're kinda f***ed once this current crop of top guys retires given the level of athleticism that's out there right now.

So, who is going to train these green as grass projects now Vince? Doesn’t matter: this company is getting sold at some point in the not terribly distant future. The key consideration is costs being low and contractual commitments being minimal. Nick Khan is there to ensure that’s the case. Only question is if Vince decided to pull the trigger while he’s alive or if he’s set a dead man’s switch for whenever he shuffles off this mortal coil.

Imo, Regal and Road Dogg are amongst the most surprising since cuts have been happening frequently.

I mentioned Thatcher being missing the other day so I feel like this is entirely my fault.

Honestly, this thread is just gonna live forever and ever and ever. 2022 Prediction: By the end of the year RAW and Smackdown will be Roman Reigns wrestling an "invisible man" for 3 or 2 hours respectively.
