Between it becoming more and more routine for people to be fired in the middle of storylines and the show being rendered essentially non-canon I don't know why in the hell anyone would bother with caring about NXT at this point.

Not Dexter, f***. Theory and Indi being the only 2 to survive "The Way Universe" makes a lot of sense (given they were pushed as the new ones up) but it's just sad to see. Like, that's 10 people dropped in one day.

Lumis could've at least been put in an odd couple tag team on the main roster since Vince loves them so much (and it's one of the few things he does well creatively most of the time).

Dude can quite literally take this gimmick and act anywhere and be fine. Idk if he fits in AEW, but he absolutely has job security with Impact I'd think... if they're all released frankly, Impact can just keep them going like nothing happened lmfao.

I think he would fit in nicely in the AEW midcard, maybe even part of a stable. And dude is from Jacksonville.

It's so fascinating to see how WWE, known for being the land of stories and characters, has devolved into an increasing absence of both because however much that reputation was pushed, the company's always been in the hands of someone who doesn't actually know how stories work.

Yeah, like I feel for the talent, I'm sad for them and they deserve better. It's bad now but it will turn around for each and every one of them.

The fact that WWE wants us to care about the characters released so easily like this not only hurts their product but it hurts us and makes people not want to watch given we can become fans of characters and then they're let go. They're helping their enemies who grab these people up.

EDIT: Had to edit this in case people somehow think I don't care about the talent and/or think I'm taking a shot at the talent, it's not about that. I'm talking about the characters on tv and WWE wanting us to be invested in storylines and their characters. I'm not talking about the people themselves (the wrestlers) but WWE wanting fans to love their stories. It's hard to care about storylines when you axe the cast. I can't care about Tony Stark as much as I do if you kill him in Iron-Man 2.

I've worked at a corporate job for a huge company in which something similar happened. People being called into the office and then you don't see them for the rest of the day. The next day a cart's wheeled around to grab their computers and everything else off their desk. It happened so frequently everyone of a certain level was wondering if they'd be let go to. I can only imagine how much worse it is as an athlete. If you're in that ring and you have to take care of your opponent who's also your friend and you know in the back of your mind if you f*** up, you might be next on the list.

That's horrible.
