Makes me wonder who wouldn't have made it if it was always like that. Becky probably would have Irish jigged her way straight out the door. Bayley and Sasha wouldn't have been on TV in generic form and slowly developed, they'd be given something and left to sink or swim. Dax might have gone before ftr was a thing. Xavier Woods would probably be in a mostly non wrestling role. Loads of others that were less successful too, Aiden English, Adam Rose, Tye Dillinger would be gone before the 10 gimmick etc Honestly Bayley's initial main roster run f***ing sucked too, she recovered which was a miracle in itself but that Alexa Bliss feud was AWFUL and I feel like if it happened in 2022 she might not have survived. Bayley was already damaged goods going into the Alexa feud too. The actual child character pretty much killed her out of the gate |

Honestly Bayley's initial main roster run f***ing sucked too, she recovered which was a miracle in itself but that Alexa Bliss feud was AWFUL and I feel like if it happened in 2022 she might not have survived. Bayley was already damaged goods going into the Alexa feud too. The actual child character pretty much killed her out of the gate I remember a lot of us were saying that it was going to be risky for her call-up due to her character. Even if she was called the "female John Cena" backstage (due to her merchandise sales and how much kids loved her) we knew that wasn't going to be enough for her especially when you've got edgier characters like Charlotte and Sasha on the roster. Becky of all people in 2015-2016, no matter how liked she was as "the female Dean Ambrose-like face", was getting her ass beat by Alexa. Bayley didn't have a shot. Now that I think about it, the start of Alexa's push from what 2016-2017 is the start of the head brass interfering in Triple H's "WWE Women's Revolution" change he was trying to make happen. Alexa's booking was wild. |

Again, who could give a f*** about these characters that are so interchangeable, they can get released in the middle of a f***ing on-going story??? Seriously, what the f*** is this about? Reads to me like "What incentive does the audience have to care about a single NXT character when they can be let go at any point regardless of whether they're in an ongoing angle or not?" |

According to PWInsider, the excuse given is our favorite, BUDGET CUTS!!! It is that time of year to be fair. Still not good, but it is that time of year that traditionally WWE has always cut talent. At this point, we should be waiting for more main roster cuts to go along with these. |

It's the ongoing narrative here...Your allowed to act this way in the WWE section because of longevity I guess no, the first quoted post is about dexter lumis being let go mid storyline. Yeah. That post was like people were super behind Lumis and now he's just gone mid storyline why should I care about anyone else if they can just not exist in a week. Hell just try writing a story where midway through your editor changes a character's name or decides you can't use the main character any more. How can you make something any one would want to see at that point. |

Yeah but to do it after announcing record profit and to people that have been there less than a year in some cases is shit. I mean "last hired first fired" and what not but it still is an ugly look IMO |

I feel like main roster cuts could happen when the European Tour ends
Usually, that's when they've happened traditionally in the past, after they've used the bodies for the tour, they cut. I am also curious if NXT's done or that's just all for the day...

All this on the same day reports say they might move back to Full Sail. Won't be the same without Grannyxt and Blue Shirt Guy. Actually I hope Grannyxt is just alive and okay post pandemic. If they go back to Full Sail, do they keep filling the crowd up with people they know are going to mostly cheer even the worst stuff put out there? Because Full Sail was a pretty smarky crowd by the end of things due to the high amount of Indie wrestlers that were there... guess we'll see how it all looks and evens out. |

We're in that horrid waiting period where you don't know if tweets are because of releases that have already happened, or releases to come I think this is just him being sad about all of the releases. Io tweeted out something similar and she did the last time there were a set of releases as well. yeah a lot of the replies were like "Noooo" so he came back and clarified |

As always, sucks so many people have lost and may be losing their jobs. Dexter Lumis, Malcolm Bivens and Dakota Kai will land on their feet, as I’m sure many of the others will as well (not up to date on NXT at all so I don’t know many of the others).
Now that I think about it, how long until Dakota is in DPW kicking John Blud’s ass? I smell an overdrive in his future.

They were plants, but Von Wagoner almost sent Jiro flying onto the top of the barricade instead, which would have at the very least broken some ribs, if not worse. |

And if they go back to the same deal, they'll be get use of the building and students for basically nothing as "training" and the PC can go back to being a dedicated training center which would probably help ease the over crowding. |

Between the lack of space now between crowd and ring and risky stunts even with less space... a lot of poor choices for developmental. |
