That's gonna be strange, maybe they just won't bother mentioning it at all. That said, one small possible positive from this is that it might force the company to get back to letting Indi show her potential as a performer as they haven't really been able to work with that for a while due to the romantic storylines and comedy stuff. She's of course funny and has a lot of character, but it's easy to overlook that she's got a strong physique, size (she's taller than Charlotte), was coming along nicely while working with Candice, and with her springboard elbow already has an impressive finisher.

That's a problem with Indi that I've noted for a while in that she comes off so gawky in the ring that you forget she's like 5'10" with a strong physique. Being paired with Persia who was even taller and more powerfully built also didn't help. She needs to learn to wrestle more physically and project her size better. As for her being funny and good with the comedy stuff I think that's kind of a double edged sword. I think it's more of a plus for her then a negative as it's a good skill to have and honestly I think it's a big reason why she's still employed as if not for that I can't really think anything else where she would have an edge over someone like Persia. However on the other it's another thing that takes away from her size/height which is an advantage she has over most of the roster.

I am really shocked by Dexter being cut. I thought he and Hudson were going to be a permanent tag-team. He is such a unique character with a cool move set - I love his Kip-up/leg drop.

Hopefully he will go to one of the other promotions and succeed.

Now hopefully indi can show what she can do in the ring. As others have said and I’ve said it, she needs to wrestle how her build looks. I didn’t realise she was taller than Charlotte and I put her name forward previously as someone who they could build the woman’s division around, and that was probably my own bias showing through but I still think she can be a big part of the division.

And they've been more cinematic than they were when he was there previously. That's a big plus for his character.

Dakota is so good she'll be fine but man how low must morale be after every mass release? Its seems like they fire a bunch of talent,replace with greener talent and then release more talent and rinse and repeat.

In terms of using her size/wrestling in general, they kept it basic but I thought she did pretty well with Valentina Feroz on 205 Live last year:

I agree lets not speculate. On another note though, sadly it looks like more cuts are coming, this time for the main roster. Whether Meltzer is right or wrong who knows. I don't believe everything, but I also don't dismiss everything.

I think a problem that people are overlooking with some of these cuts, including the notable ones like Dakota Kai, is that it takes yet another veteran name out of the division that needs it the most. Because that Lash Legend/Nikkita Lyons match from last Tuesday showed how bad things can potentially get if you just throw two incredibly green talents together and hope they can put on a watchable match.

If WWE isn't going to bring back the Florida house show circuit, then they need to avoid cutting veteran talent as much as possible, since they'll be the only ones who can actually get these green talents to improve. Otherwise when talent like Nikkita, Lash, etc get called up to the main roster, they are going to massively bomb. Because as it stands, these greener talents aren't getting the reps they should be getting from the Florida Loop, so the next best thing is to work with well established veterans in the ring. But WWE cutting them is only going to make things harder for those rookies.

I can honestly say unless WWE connects the dots soon that cutting all of your veteran talent is not a good idea, then in maybe five years or so when the current big names have either been cut or retired, they are going to be in absolutely deep trouble, because as it stands, Nikita, Lash, Trick, etc are all lightyears away from even being remotely decent enough to be well received on the main roster.

First off, yeah, this is kind of not the time to do these things. Second off, we have no idea who is and isn't a possible name to be let go (aside from the obviously secure stars like Reigns, Usos, etc...) so doing this would be moot anyway.

Cut the vets, have green wrestlers face each other every week, then cut them when they don't show main event potential. A plan with no flaws.

I also just remembered - Dakota Kai was a champion in this company 25 days ago. Hell, four of the folks who won title matches at Stand and Deliver are not on NXT anymore.

Fightful said Malcom and Dakota didn't plan to renew their contracts so they just let them go. It's not been said if they would have preferred to stay or not until they were up. I do wonder though if they didn't release Dakota because it sounds from Meltzer's reporting people BTS didn't want to lose her... would she have ended up getting screwed around like Ember did? It's sad to think they may have kept her just for other people to pi** her worth away even worse.

yeah i was upset at first to hear dakota getting released but if she wasn't planning to re-sign (assuming since it was brought up her contract was almost up at this point) i suppose it's not as bad. i thought something was up when she started streaming again on twitch but that was around the time wwe announced they were adjusted their streaming policy to "don;t stream under your wwe names" hopefully she'll pop up again in aew/roh or impact depending on which she prefers

Makes those title switches even more weird. If they were planning on keeping them on Toxic Attraction going forward why not just have them retain at Stand and Deliver instead having them lose to a team consisting of one person you are sending to the main roster and another whose contract is coming up and is not renewing and then win them back anyways three days later?
