Excellent news on Taichi and Sabre. Honestly? I don't even mind that GoD won the titles, since they had never won the tag league before and it hurts the gimmick of the tag league if the title shot always ends in failure. Still, belts went back to the much more interesting team right now. Maybe they can team with Hikuleo or Fale or something and go for the 6-man titles and let someone not overplayed go for the heavyweight titles. Maybe Cobb and O-Khan, or switch one of them with Henare. I've always wondered why some talent pick Young Lions to be their partners for matches Given it's often the New Japan Dads, I think it's usually meant to be them giving back since a lot of them were Young Lions, themselves, who also benefited from mentors.

I would disagree on it hurting the tag league gimmick. G1 winner with the briefcase have only won a few times at WK

Like, I don't expect or want 100 percent winning results from having the shot, but the shot does mean more if it's, well, potent.

They challenged any team in Japan.
I looked around and really don’t see many tag teams in Japan right now.
Maybe it’s time to look overseas.

I was going to say TenCozy, but forgot Kojima's in Impact at the moment. Maybe Great Bash Heel are available? Like, it's not a fantastic option, but given they've been giving Honma a little bit of spotlight lately, it's not necessarily an awful one either, even if GBH are showing their age. Besides, Taichi and ZSJ can ham it up if need be to work around that.

Agreed but the competitors that win the G1 are so credible that it never really became until a few years ago when Omega/Naito lost back to back years
