CHAOS retain and now own the record. Man, when is this reign going to end? What a joke. Naito, BUSHI, and SANADA are more over than YH, Ishii, and Goto could ever dream of being. Gedo's reverting back to the status quo when things happen.
Chaos wins all the time and has all the titles.

GOD seem to be heading stateside given they dropped the belts and aren't on Dominion Taichi alluded to them staying an extra month to drop the belts in his backstage comments. Seems like they’ve been around for a while along with ELP, and that might be why they dropped them on the first Korakuen show instead of waiting another week for Dominion. Letting those guys get home to their families ASAP was more important, which I can respect.

Taichi mentioned wanting to take challengers from anywhere in Japan. He apparently mentioned Triple Six and AJPW, but I heard NJPW cut it out on World so it might not lead to anything. If so that sucks because I feel like that's where all Japan's tag team talent sorta resides.
Naito/SANADA vs. Tekkers is a really good alternative though. NJPW using main heavies in meaningful tags is something they really need to do more, and I like how this is being built. Naito/Taichi obviously have their own thing, but in a promo Naito said he wants challenge for titles as an interim goal/stepping stone leading to main eventing at the Dome. Taichi took offense to him looking at the tag titles as a mere stepping stone and said that sorta attitude is why things are the way they are now. It makes sense since he's boomed in the tag division to want to defend it.
On a semi-related note, we can explain Suzuki's absence since he has to get ready for what looks like a war, teaming with Meiko Satomura vs. Nanae Takahashi and Jinsei Shinzaki.

Both Suzuki and Shinzaki in their 50s look more terrifying now than they ever have.
Shinzaki, especially. He looked gigantic at Hana Matane.

I love how Naito and Taichi have this unusual relationship, especially since the two have somewhat similar "cares more than he wants to let on" dynamics, it just manifests differently. I also love that this is allowing them to blur the face/heel lines in a way that feels organic. Naito is obviously very popular, but Taichi is also quite popular, with Suzuki-Gun kind of ending up in the tweener/largely face role LIJ resided in before being bonafide faces. Naito is being a dismissive shit, sort of like how sometimes Tanahashi gets arrogant, and Taichi is rightly standing up for his division and looking to give Naito a reality check.
That's the kind of booking that, honestly, the division badly needs more of. Actual f***ing angles, with characters. More main eventers or other established people stepping into the division would be good right now since, yeah, "thrown together" teams can be a nuisance, but it's fine with stable mates in my eyes, and beyond that, the division is so barren, especially with FinJuice out of Japan. This is a good stop gap for the time being.

Despy looks good but, I can tell from his backstage promos that’s much more out of breath than usual after matches.

This is a good stop gap for the time being. That’s why a lot of us are calling for an Okada/Yoshi-Hashi team up. Lots of backstory there. Another possible good tag team? Jay White and KENTA. They always have good chemistry in tag matches and they can feed off each other to be a super heel team.

Before all this, I thought YOH had no shot. Now with all this, I think it’s 50/50. Especially if they have plans for YOH to have a post Roppongi 3k singles run.

I think it depends a bit. Maybe he loses it, but if he retains, they can probably have him in tag matches and such for a bit while his cardio recovers. I think it depends on when they want to do Hiromu vs Despy again, since the two are probably going to clash again, particularly since Desperado could really use a win over him to help solidify him as a top Jr. Heavyweight.

Hopefully he'll finally tune it down

He got injured still towards beginning of year so projection would be end of year I think he comes back in time for BOSJ

I love when heels do this. Also reminds me of whoever it was on the indies who had the Blu-Ray, since it was better than the DVD, and someone else adopted it as the MP4, because they stole it.
