After binge-watching (W)WWF throughout the 70s and 80s on youtube(should do a thread on it eventually), I'm surprised to see enhancement talent S.D. Jones was around for as long as he has. According to wikipedia, it was from 1974 to 1990! That was longer than alot of big names(with the possible exception of Bruno Sammartino). They must've saw him as a dependable worker or something.

Sorta, he didn't appear for them at all in 1989 and only made a few appearances in 1990 initially to fill-in for some low card no shows and then got a few TV matches out of it.

Another talent that stuck around longer than I remembered was Dino Bravo after Wrestlemania 7. I believe he worked some matches(as a face and with his natural brown hair) in the summer of 91 doing house shows in Canada(I think) and on the European tour in the Spring of 92. He's one of those strange cases of a guy who never did much, was never that over(at least in his later WWF days), yet was always around when Vince needed someone.

WCW Example: The Gambler was with the company from 1994 until 1999/2000. He never made it to Nitro/Thunder, was only on the weekend shows, but it was weird to see a guy with a goofy midcard gimmick in the same era as the NWO and the like.

Rick Martel being in WCW in the late 90s.
I genuinely thought he retired in like... 1994.

According to wikipedia....
"On the September 13, 1993 Raw, Doink poured a pail of water over Bobby Heenan, marking his fan favorite turn. On a December episode of Raw, Doink was given a present from Santa Claus in the form of a midget in the Doink costume, which he named Dink. Shortly afterward, however, Osborne was fired for re-occurring drug abuses. His final TV appearance in the WWF for that era was on the December 27, 1993 episode of Raw. Osborne cited in a shoot interview that Bam Bam Bigelow did not like putting over Osborne. Osborne said this subsequently led to Bigelow snitching on him for smoking weed in the hallway of his hotel and getting him fired from the WWF.[9] Following his departure, Doink was played by Ray Licameli (also known as Ray Apollo)"
Now, I know episodes of Superstars and Wrestling Challenge were taped like a month in advance, but from what I recall, Bourne was fired in October, meaning even in TV time, he wouldn't have made it to the Survivor Series. Was he just suspended instead? Was he dealing with contract disputes and was used periodically between October to December? Does anybody know the exact day Matt Borne was let go, I can't seem to find it anywhere.
