With AEW having these 6 to 9 months World Title reigns. A lot of really good stars will never be World Champion. Hangman feels lol next guy. Then some combo of MJF or maybe Wardlow. If they do the Triple H/Batista angle from 2005 with them. After that feels like they would go towards Moxley as champ again. Especially since his reign was mostly pandemic era. So you know Tony Khan will look for another run back in full arenas. But still those could be your next 2 years.
So that leaves a lot of guys out to he World Champion. Which is why I feel like TNT title is almost like 2nd World title. Since usually the guy holding TNT Title is as hot or booked as strong as World Champion is. With there being some question of who's better. Like for most of the 2020 you had that debate with Mox as World and Cody as TNT champ. Even now Miro dominant and undefeated. While Omega hasn't lost since 2019 in singles as well. So I think we almost gotta look at AEW World Title like say WWE Title and TNT title like say Universal Title. Since you have to be a top character to get either title.

I like that Hangman, MJF, Darby & Jungle Boy are all presently sitting at 0 votes.
The consensus is that those 4 are the future cornerstones of the company. All in the company since day 1(or at least since the very first shows). It shows that AEW are doing something right in terms of building new talent.

I want to say it's too early to tell, because it's such a young company and there's still so many unexplored directions to go, but honestly I don't have any hopes at all for Kingston, Archer or either of the Cage twins.

Only ones I didn't check were: Hangman Page, Cody, Darby, MJF, Penta, Andrade & Jungle Boy. I'm not saying all of them will win it, but these would be my top choices.
I know, Cody isn't supposed to get a crack at it. But I could see a title vs. career match down the road; when MJF gets his run. MJF being the guy that cost him the chance to begin with as the guy that drops it to him? There's a story.
I don't see a repeat champion yet, which is why I checked Jericho & Moxley.
I'm surprised one of the Young Bucks aren't on the list. If Nick was mentioned, I'd pick him.

I disagree so hard on Archer. He's getting a run eventually, though hopefully as a heel.

This is why women’s tag titles and a trios title may come in handy for AEW. Granted, every act doesn’t need a championship to be considered successful and there’s people who can be stars without winning belts, but that’s one reason why I like that NJPW has plenty of undercard accolades so it doesn’t feel like wrestlers outside the main event are starving, and they can pad their resumes some.

As awesome as it would be, Zombie Jim Neidhart probably isnt winning it. Well, maybe before Wardlow.

Surprised 10 people voted Andrade. I think that he's a shoe in given he's not only great but he's a minority who you know can do what you need him to do.
AEW still has a problem with a lack of diversity so honestly given they want this company to be diverse with many different types of people Andrade is one of the lead guys if not the lead guys and that's especially given his past. Out of all the minorities they have Andrade overall is high on the list when it comes to being able to go, has a defined character, has a look that stands out and just overall knows what it means to "produce for tv", even outside of minorities, just everything as a whole to be a superstar he's got it in spades. Man is still putting in the work to speak English because he knows it'll be beneficial for his career, I respect that.
To the topic I'll say Christian. He knows who he is and he knows what he represents, if he gets any title and becomes that "old veteran who can still go with a belt" it's that TNT Title.

Before this past Dynamite, I had my doubts that they were going to give Andrade the push to the moon. I was thinking that he would get something a little more understated, build him up for a while - leaving room for him to lose his way or for him to fizzle out some. Which may still happen, but every second of that promo had "future world champion" vibes, so at least right now, I think the AEW brass are set to put him on that path.

I really feel like Andrade isn't gonna win. Hes just gonna float from company to company and carve a nice niche for himself

That was the best Andrade interview I've ever seen and it's interesting in how it was produced compared to a WWE one. Even when he was speaking he kept his cadence slow, laid back, smooth but at the same time the interview was just a few minutes long with a lot said. You're right in that he's a star. He has the "it factor" and I feel AEW will do a great job in helping him bring that out. Like, we've got a ton of newer stars most don't know and Andrade checks off every box, more people know him and he exudes star presence? It's good for all parties involved. He's got it. The only way he doesn't become champion is if he personally doesn't want to for some reason or he screws it up. He's the full package, got the work ethic and AEW seems to like him. Ball's in his court.

I should probably make an updated version of this poll but for now I thought I'd bump it as it's pretty interesting to see what we were right and wrong about so far.
