....But he wasn't a heel though. IIRC, Shockmaster was the faces' great equalizer against Ric Flair and friends. It was Sid, Harlem Heat and Vader though Vader wasn't on the Flair For The Gold episode at the Clash. Shockmaster probably should have been a heel character if WCW officials put more effort into making it work. I would say Bret Hart was pretty dumb trusting Bad News at Wrestlemania IV. As serious as Bret takes/took wrestling it wouldn't surprise me if he (and Bob Uecker) didn't even know the double cross was part of the storyline. Bret destroyed the statue as if he was seriously hoping to take it home.

Bastion Booger once abandoned a pin on a Bushwhacker during a Survivor Series match because he was offered a banana. He also missed his entrance in the 1994 Royal Rumble. I remember reading three reasons why, all qualify lol 1. He ate an expired WWF Ice Cream Bar 2. He had a stomachache from eating too much ice cream. 3. He got a sugar rush and passed out from eating too much ice cream. ...Vince REALLY wanted to push an ice cream angle with that guy, huh?

I remember reading three reasons why, all qualify lol I remember Superstars on that Saturday where Booger revealed his number. I had it written down on paper when my friend came over to watch the show but he didn't come out. I guess it was all part of the plan to make it look like Bret had missed his chance and the official word on the PPV was that Booger ate too much and got sick. Poor Mike Shaw, I hope he got a full PPV pay day for that. I hate to see a guy like Shaw put everything into an awful gimmick that Vince obviously wanted and/or signed off on, then once Vince realizes how awful it is he throws the guy to the side and releases him like he did with Shaw in early 1994.

Vince? Some of those Austin / Vince segments felt like roadrunner and wiley Coyote. My favorite thing is how Vince being the higher power is remembered as this all time great reveal of Vince as a supervillain, and a big part of that is Jim Ross's classic reaction to Vince removing his hood. But you watch the segment in full, and it's Austin five steps ahead of Vince and revealing that he is now the CEO of the WWF because Vince was dumb enough to show his hand to Austin the previous week. I know you’re not new, so where you been the past 20 years where everyone just dumps on that segment all the time?

I'll see people dump on the reveal itself as underwhelming and illogical because of how little sense it made in storyline context, but I've seen enough people clip it to the five second IT'S ME, AUSTIN! AWWW SON OF A BITCH! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG AUSTIN! soundbyte and remember it as the time Vince got one up on Austin in epic fashion, when that's not even the case for the 15 minute segment itself.

That’s fair, but that’s because discourse has been reduced to memes. That’s why a lot of stupid shit is popular now.
