I just don’t get this guy’s mentality at all. From what I have heard about the guy, he walked out on bad terms with the WWF in 1988 but then he was amongst the wrestlers who spoke out against the company encouraging steroid abuse. Never mind the fact that he was the first wrestler to get over with using muscle enhancers years before Vince Jr. took control of the company.
Eventually he reconciled and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004 but years later he requested his removal after WWE inducted Abdullah the Butcher into the Hall of Fame for his bloody wrestling style. Graham made it sound like he never bladed once in his life; I’ve seen pictures of him facing Bob Backlund and Dusty Rhodes in hardcore matches.
Then I once heard he wanted his body to be buried next to Eddie Guerrero??? What relationship did those two have in common? It doesn’t surprise me that WWE blacklisted him from fans putting images of him in the Thunderdome although I’m sure that nobody gives a crap about this guy’s legacy at this point.
Maybe I got a few things wrong but my point is that this guy sounds like an extreme mental case. Anyone have other thoughts to share?

He always had a screw loose. After he lost the belt he came back a couple years later with a lame karate gimmick. I guess because everyone else was ripping off his old gimmick and doing better than he did.
Once he couldnt wrestle and was fired as a manager/commentator I think he was just so angry and desperate for attention/money.
He and Eddie were apparently good friends. Eddie found religion in getting sober and Graham when he was dying from his health problems brought on by the roids and drugs.

He and Dusty's first MSG match is my favorite match of all time.
That said, his rants over the years have really hurt his legacy. He makes Hogan sound like a reliable narrator. Only person whose accuracy I'd trust less than him is Billy Jack Haynes.

I'm not sure if he's as crazy as people make out.
He seems to have a few friends in the business and comes across as a genuine caring bloke.
His views are outdated though. I mean, I think he told Kofi to take steroids.
But besides that, maybe I'm missing something.

He's an unhinged conspiracy theorist to the point where it goes past being funny and brings you to genuine concern for his well being. He legit believes Chris Benoit killed his wife and child because the child's biological is Vince McMahon despite none of the timelines possibly lining up for that what so ever.

Absolutely every other one of his contemporaries distanced themselves as Graham as a person was just insufferable.

He had choice words for Kofi in 2019 during his title run:

He's an old carny who did a bunch of drugs who thinks the only way to stay relevant is to be even more of a carny. It's a damn shame because his contributions to the business are often minimized because the guy just couldn't face reality.

I'm going to be nice.
Superstar Billy Graham is everything negative you've ever heard about religious charlatans. He has lied time and again about things both big and small. I firmly believe the only thing he worships is the almighty dollar.
If he is being paid by the WWE, VKM is a tremendous businessman and a credit to the human race. If he isn't being paid, VKM is lower than pond scum. He has consistently shown himself to be nothing but a two faced liar for the better part of 30 years. If he told me the sky was blue, I'd need independent confirmation.

What’s the deal with Billy Jack Haynes? He's an unhinged conspiracy theorist to the point where it goes past being funny and brings you to genuine concern for his well being. He legit believes Chris Benoit killed his wife and child because the child's biological is Vince McMahon despite none of the timelines possibly lining up for that what so ever. People were terrified of Billy Jack. Chris Adams, if I recall, skipped town when he was booked to wrestle him. Adams was either dating someone who had dated Billy Jack, or vice versa, and I guess was concerned for his safety, perhaps with reason. Billy Jack would apparently speak softly and tell people he wouldn't get in fights because he would kill someone, and people readily took his word on that. Given how Haynes was absurdly jacked in his prime, I don't think anyone was exactly keen on testing that theory.

I am a big Superstar fan but even I can admit how he acts when he's not being paid is not good. He even went off on fans he called "leeches" who weren't donating to his medical funding. Like others said, when he's being paid by Vince he loves him but when he's not, he goes off on Vince. The whole situation is sad for so many reasons especially since his wife seems like a living Angel and has put up with how he acts for decades. Also I think Billy is one of the guys who Vince really loved. Even though he was a WWWF guy and not someone Vince helped build I can see Vince loving his gimmick and would probably have strapped a rocket to him like Hogan if Billy had been 5-10 years later. Vince tried everything with Billy much like he did when Roddy or Perfect weren't able to perform in ring in the 1990s but where those two were able to get back in the first time and left for WCW the second time, Vince fired Billy which led to the 15 year rift. When he came back in 2003 I was so happy to see him happy and healthy. I think Vince should have kept him on as one of his lifers, Billy could contribute at any age with showing guys how to do amazing promos. But once he was let go from his legends deal it's been all down hill from there. He's definitely at the age where he needs to settle down with acting like a jerk.

He cancelled an appearance at a convention I regularly attended by sending the oromoter a rambling yet rhyming diatribe about how he (promoter) should have 666 carved into his forehead and end up dead in a ditch with flies in his eyes. Graham ended by calling the promoter a "mark whore for wrestling."
Obviously I don't know what transpired, but the promoter claimed he was just trying to get an answer about the olane ticket if I remember correctly.

Ah yes Billy Graham, the wrester who makes Hogan look like a caring and truthful human being. I will concede he was a very good promo but beyond that he was nothing special in the ring and poor Harley race had to wrestle him in Florida in the rain to a draw(I think) and it made me feel sorry for Harley race watching it.

One of the best .gifs tho! I feel like I’ve read multiple times over the years he’s been on death’s doorstep. I like to imagine that .gif how he keeps the grim reaper away.

I see the name Superstar Billy Graham and I think back to a match he had with Swede Hanson in January 1983. It was the fallout to Swede guest refereeing a match between Graham & Backlund. (Bob had the chicken wing locked in and Swede swore he heard Billy quit. You can't tell because Graham's face was covered.)
Dear God that was one of the worst matches I've ever seen. Both were slow as molasses. Swede attempts a splash and Graham barely moved; almost getting his leg crushed. One weak poke with a nail file and Graham wins in 3 minutes.
Ugh x10.
