What is today's equivalent of JNCO jeans, shutter sunglasses, Crocs, the popped collar, frosted tips, acid wash, shoulder pad jackets, backwards clothes...?
Ya know... apparel you swore by at the time, but is (or will be) completely regrettable in retrospect.

Rolled up "tight" jeans never made frickin' sense to me. (1990-91) A guy in speech class did a "how to" about that. And you want to look like Steve Urkel wearing floods?
(That year was also the "last gasp" for surf clothes and mesh half-shirts.)

I was in high school right when the Grunge fad hit. All of the sudden everybody was wearing flannels and combat boots. I had been doing that for years already. But the difference was most of the kids were going and paying 20 to 30 bucks for a flannel shirt. I had been grabbing them out of my dad's closet.
But then I was never one to keep up and go with whatever the clothing fads were. Once I started picking out my own clothes,so say at the age of 10,it was jeans,t shirts, shorts and usually chuck taylor high tops.
And really I haven;t changed much since them. Only change really was I went from mostly having bluejean shorts to now either having some light weight cloth shorts or basketball shorts.

Not sure what the term is for those baseball caps with the flat brim, but I could see those being seen as dated in a few years' time. Doesn't mean they won't come back around, but it's probably going to be seen as less timeless than curved brims.
I guess maybe undercuts will be seen as a very 2010's haircut, but I could see a lot of people sticking with the for comfort reasons. As someone with a fully shaved head who used to have long hair, trust me, your hair retains MUCH more heat than you think it does.

I don’t know how ANYONE is comfortable in skinny jeans. I missy baggy jeans….. not JNCO, but baggier than today’s “loose fit”. Even when I was in shape in my 20s (99- 2000s) I had to have as loose a fit as I could find. Now that I’m a puffy old man…. Ugh!

As someone with a fully shaved head who used to have long hair, trust me, your hair retains MUCH more heat than you think it does. I never realized how much body heat your hair retains. Mostly cause from when I was 12 until 7 years ago I would shave my head every 5 weeks. Then I grew my hair out. That was taken 3 days before I cut it all off.I had the sides and back shaved to the scalp and just the top was that long. Mostly cause I got tired of waking up every morning with my hair a bit sweaty mess. And now if it is summer, which is 8 months of the year down here,I try to get my head shaved every 4 weeks. Add in my hair grows super fast. So the last few days before my head is cut my head is always hot. I hate flatbrim hats. If I get one I curve the bill until I get it the shape I like.Mostly cause I wear a hat to help keep the sun out of my eyes. A flat brim doesn't do that as well as a curved brim.

Face tattoos is a good pick.
I bet in a few years people will be looking at yoga pants and wondering what the hell women were thinking when they started wearing them as 'daily wear' instead of workout gear. It's like 80's aerobic fashion.

Something I recall from 8th grade, so 1987-88:
Wearing sweatpants, but pulling the legs up knee-high.
I did it (as a lot of others did), but never understood why. Was it showing off the calf? (Couldn't have been about keeping the cuffs off of the floor, they all had elastic.)

Late-1990s to early-2000s when guys used to "frost" their hair. I remember it was quite a fad when guys would dye their hair blonde or have blonde streaks. Some guys even thought that I should try doing it. I said hell no. I have never dyed my hair, ever.
Also, some people can talk about those T-shirts with cartoon characters looking "thuggish" from the 1990s, but there were some shirts like that in the 2000s with them dressing like 50 Cent and having grills. Let's not forget the shirts with a piece of metal sticking out. Those had to be a pain to wash.

Lip Fillers. Dyed hair. The shaved on the sides, long on the top look that a lot of f*** boi’s have adopted. Tats..could be considering how “in” they are now.

Man buns and hipster beards will be looked back in 20 years time in the same way our generation looks at shell suits and double denim.
