I've always worn ripped up jeans, Converse All Stars, a baseball cap, a metal head battle vest, and t-shirts that are either metal, wrestling, or comic book related.
The only thing that I ever change is that I update the fit/style of my jeans as styles progress.

I still see hip hop Looney Tunes shirts here and there, but they might have a retro appeal by now.
One trend I found funny was how 70s and 80s throwback sports jerseys were all the rage in hip hop during the 2000’s, an era when MLB was fixated on 1940s classic uniform designs on the field. Only now has baseball fallen back into the old powder blue road jerseys and colorful alternates, well after hip hop moved to brands like Gucci and Supreme.
My current cap is flat brim but I’ll wear different STL hats depending on how I feel that day.

Not sure what the term is for those baseball caps with the flat brim, but I could see those being seen as dated in a few years' time. Doesn't mean they won't come back around, but it's probably going to be seen as less timeless than curved brims. I guess maybe undercuts will be seen as a very 2010's haircut, but I could see a lot of people sticking with the for comfort reasons. As someone with a fully shaved head who used to have long hair, trust me, your hair retains MUCH more heat than you think it does. I never realized how much body heat your hair retains. Mostly cause from when I was 12 until 7 years ago I would shave my head every 5 weeks. Then I grew my hair out. That was taken 3 days before I cut it all off.I had the sides and back shaved to the scalp and just the top was that long. Mostly cause I got tired of waking up every morning with my hair a bit sweaty mess. And now if it is summer, which is 8 months of the year down here,I try to get my head shaved every 4 weeks. Add in my hair grows super fast. So the last few days before my head is cut my head is always hot. I hate flatbrim hats. If I get one I curve the bill until I get it the shape I like.Mostly cause I wear a hat to help keep the sun out of my eyes. A flat brim doesn't do that as well as a curved brim. I appreciate the irony of wearing a shirt saying "Dirt Cheap" while posing next to the Million Dollar Man.

Neck tattoos can work, or Ear gauges are bad too

What is today's equivalent of JNCO jeans, shutter sunglasses, Crocs, the popped collar, frosted tips, acid wash, shoulder pad jackets, backwards clothes...? Ya know... apparel you swore by at the time, but is (or will be) completely regrettable in retrospect. I saw three mother f***ers with frosted tips today they are popular in London again for some reason!

I don’t know how ANYONE is comfortable in skinny jeans. I missy baggy jeans….. not JNCO, but baggier than today’s “loose fit”. Even when I was in shape in my 20s (99- 2000s) I had to have as loose a fit as I could find. Ow that I’m a puffy old man…. Ugh! Amen. I cannot stand not wearing loose clothing baggy(not jnco baggy) jeans etc gonna be me forever.

Late-1990s to early-2000s when guys used to "frost" their hair. I remember it was quite a fad when guys would dye their hair blonde or have blonde streaks. Some guys even thought that I should try doing it. I said hell no. I have never dyed my hair, ever. Guilty! 😂

I’m sure it’s never going back to the nut-huggers of old but still…..

Harmless enough but I think the cheap hair dye jobs beloved by the 18-25 crowd will be this generations version what the mullet was for the 80s and super gelled tips were for the 90s. A very much ‘it was a good idea at the time’ deal.

A lot of crap 90s style sportswear is popular again, seeing a lot of kids walking around in stuff I wouldn't have been seen dead in, primarily ugly multi coloured Ellesse and Champion sport branded stuff.

Emo hair. It was everywhere when I was in high school and it always looked horrible, I always thought it looked like you dunked your hair in a bucket of clown vomit.

Let's not forget the shirts with a piece of metal sticking out. Those had to be a pain to wash. I did it ONCE for Spider-Man III, Get off my back! Neck tattoos can work, or Ear gauges are bad too Have had a lot of people near me sport ‘em and I think they’re gross AF.

And for a very short time they were selling the shirts the employees wore. Well I wore it to one show and the guy I was doing commentary with dubbed me Dirt Cheap Newt. So every show I just wore the shirt. Figured it would work well when I met Ted SR.

No, you're correct, mullets are experiencing something of a revival. All of this stuff tends to go in cycles. I think rat tails honestly are less likely to come back than mullets. It's more likely to get you called a padawan than a trend setter.

I had the full nu metal look as a teen.
Long hair, baggy trousers, korn hoody, wallet chain, skate shoes. I must have looked a right bellend.
Today, I just dress comfortable but reasonably stylish. Jeans (Always Levis because theyre comfy) band, dinosaur or TV Show/movie shirt, Timberland boots (so comfy).
I do have a manbun though...

Did acid wash ever make a comeback? In grade 6 I remember everyone wearing it.
