A. Rok-C & Miranda Alize beat Sumie Sakai & Chelsea Green

1. Silas Young beat Rey Horus. near the end of the match Silas loosened Horus' mask. finish saw Silas got for a low blow, but Horus blocked, allowing Silas to grab his mask and twist it sideways. Silas then hit Misery for the win.

2. Demonic Flamita beat Dak Draper, Danhausen, Eli Isom, Mike Bennett and PJ Black in a Six Man Mayhem match to enter the ROH World Championship Rankings. mid-match, almost everyone was taken out after a superplex/makeshift German suplex combo; the only one left standing was Danhausen who told the referee to proclaim him the winner for being the last one standing. when the ref refused, Danhausen cursed him. near the end of the match, Dalton Castle wasn't satisfied with Draper's performance and left commentary to go down to ringside where he told them the cut the match and run it again. Flamita pinned Danhausen.

3. Vita VonStarr & Max the Impaler (w/April Rose) beat The Allure (Angelina Love & Mandy Leon). funny bit near the end when Angelina hit Max with no effect other than annoying her and the fans began chanting "YOU F***ED UP!"; Caprice Coleman kept trying to censor it by saying casually repeating "Beep", but Ian Riccaboni noted his timing was off and he kept censoring the "You". Vita pinned Leon with a rollup. post match Angelina disappeared while Vita attacked Leon with a chain and Max got a table from under the ring. eventually Angelina ran back out to try to make the save, but not in time to stop Max from putting Leon through the table.

4. EC3 beat Brian Johnson. crowd solidly behind Johnson. midmatch Johnson hurt his hand after slamming it into the barricade on a dive, and EC3 quickly pounced on it. EC3 won by submission.

- Ian Riccaboni announced that due to COVID protocols, the scheduled tag team match between the Briscoes and The Righteous is now a singles match.

5. Mark Briscoe beat Bateman (w/Dutch). Mark won after a Froggy Bow. before Bobby Cruise could finish announcing the winner, Dutch jumped in the ring and attacked Mark. The Righteous continued to beat him down until Mike Bennett ran out with a chair and chased them off.

6. Jonathan Gresham (w/Jay Lethal & Tracy Williams) (c) beat Rhett Titus (w/Jay Lethal & Tracy Williams) to retain the ROH Pure Championship. The Foundation came out together, but tempers flared early when Gresham got Titus in a leglock and couldn't/wouldn't break the hold when he used his rope break. a couple minutes later Titus backed Gresham into the ropes, and when the ref told them to separate Gresham threw his hands up for a clean break and accidently/"accidently" poked Titus in the eye. finish saw a series of pin reversals before Gresham finally got the three count. post-match The Foundation was back on the same page. Josh Woods met Gresham on the entrance ramp and shook his hand.

7. Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Homicide, Chris Dickinson & Tony Deppen) vs. La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH, Dragon Lee, Kenny King & La Bestia del Ring) ended in a no contest. two minutes into the match Deppen and Lee were the legal men and ended up in each other's corner, where they beaten down by the other members of the opposing teams. unable to restore order, the referee threw the match out. the fans chanted "Bullshit!", RUSH got on a microphone and said make it no disqualification, and the two teams started fighting again, but the referee wouldn't start the match. Brody then got on the mic and said no one came to see a two-minute match, and this is the ECW Arena, and demanded the ROH Board of Directors make this a Street Fight. senior official Todd Sinclair ran out and told the referee since both teams want it, start the match.

8. Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Homicide, Chris Dickinson & Tony Deppen) beat La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH, Dragon Lee, Kenny King & La Bestia del Ring) in a Street Fight. tables, ladders, chairs, title belts, and yes Homicide had his fork. finish saw LFI set up a table in the ring and laid out Deppen on it for Bestia to hit a splash, but he took too long and Brody ran into the ring and powerbombed him through it. after disposing of Dragon Lee, Brody pinned Bestia. post match Shane Taylor left commentary and headed down to the ring to confront VLNCE UNLTD, but LFI attacked him. Soldiers of Savagery ran out and Shane Taylor Promotions brawled with LFI, while VLNCE UNLTD just watched laughing from the ring. after fighting off LFI, Taylor began arguing with Homicide.

9. Bandido (c) beat Flip Gordon to retain the ROH World Championship. Flip came close to winning several times, but Bandido fought back to eventually win after a 21-Plex. post match EC3 made is way down to the ring and stared down Bandido, but Brody King walked out and said there is a line of guys waiting to face Bandido, and it starts behind him. EC3 and Brody start brawling on the floor, while Demonic Flamita runs in behind Bandido and attacks him.

1. Dalton Castle (w/The Chicks) beat Danhausen. Danhausen's infobox during his entrance said if he wins he'll go on "Family Feudhausen". early on in the match The Chicks began clapping and Danhausen left the ring to clap with them, which made Dalton jealous, so he grabbed them by the hand and led them to the other side of the ring. a short while later Dak Draper left commentary to go help Dalton, but when Danhausen went for a dive Draper caught him, the referee saw, and ordered him back. near the end of the match Danhausen tried to use the teeth, but Castle spilled them in the ring; The Chicks then rushed into the ring and tried to eat them, distracting Castle with their disgusting behavior and allowing Danhausen to get a second jar of teeth. Dalton won after a Bang-A-Rang. due to losing, Danhausen presumably will not be going on "Family Feudhausen".

2. LSG beat World Famous CB in a Pure Rules match. LSG used his first rope break in disgusting fashion. CB was pretty much standing on his back holding his arms straight back, and LSG had to get the ropes by biting the middle rope. as Ian Riccaboni pointed out (and LSG instantly demonstrated), that's where all the wrestlers' butts hit. about a minute later Ken Dixon grabbed Riccaboni's headset and began bitching about the "soy boys" in the ring. none of the commentators knew who he was, and Josh Woods told him to leave or he'll make him leave. commentary then went silent for a couple of minutes, and then he was gone. LSG won with a crucifix pin. post match LSG offered the post-match handshake, but CB just walked away.

- Backstage Quinn McKay walked passed a pissed off Brian Johnson to talk to Mark Briscoe in the locker room. Quinn says due to COVID issues Jay Briscoe is off tonight's show as well, and the ROH Board of Directors have just stated if he doesn't find a replacement partner he'll also be off tonight's show. when Mark got upset at that news Quinn pointed out that Johnson is right outside and he does have a match tonight, so Mark went out and told him he's going to be his partner.

3. Rok-C & Miranda Alize beat Chelsea Green & Willow. Rok-C pinned Willow with the Code Rok

- UltraMantis Black accompanied Incoherence to the ring before joining commentary

4. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Moses & Kaun) (w/Ron Hunt & O'Shay Edwards) (c) beat Incoherence (Delirious, Hallowicked & Frightmare). during the pre-match handshake, Taylor yelled "You know this ain't CHIKARA, bitches?!" UltraMantis Black did not like that. Incoherence with a few close two-counts. Taylor pinned Frightmare after a Marcus Garvey Driver. post-match EC3 came out and stared down STP as they were heading to the back.

5. Mark Briscoe & Brian Johnson beat Flip Gordon & Demonic Flamita. story for the early part of the match was Mark trying to get his hands on Flip, and Flip avoiding him. near the end of the match Johnson got mad at Mark telling him what to do and trying to get the win himself, especially when Philadelphia is "my city", and walked out. Flip slid a chair into the ring and told Flamita to use it on Mark, but Flamita threw it down and flipped off Flip, then forcibly tagged him in. Flip and Flamita got into a shoving match and the referee tried to hold Flamita back, allowing Mark to give Flip a low blow and hit a J-Driller on the chair for the win. post-match PJ Black, a state athletic rep, and a bunch of officials and crew members ran out to check on Flip, who appeared to be hurt and needed to be helped to the back.

6. The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Rhett Titus & Tracy Williams) beat Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Homicide, Chris Dickinson & Tony Deppen) in an Eight-Man Tag Team match. story for much of the match was The Foundation working over Deppen's legs, and Gresham wanting Brody. Gresham was taken out near the end of the match when Dickinson drove him through a table. finish saw Deppen give Lethal a back body drop, but his knee gave out and Lethal landed on his feet and then hit a Lethal Injection. post match VLNCE UNLTD laid out Lethal, Titus & Williams. Dickinson got on the mic and said the pure wrestlers may have won, but they don't look to good right now. he then issues an open challenge to any past or any future pure wrestler (cause the present ones are all knocked out right now) to face them.

- Silas Young out for commentary. he's pissed off because he was told in the back to put on a Ring of Honor shirt and given a new ROH Luchador shirt, and there are too many luchadors in ROH.

7. La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH & Dragon Lee) beat Bandido & Rey Horus. Silas Young said he's been buying drinks all night, and spent the match shit talking Horus. finish saw Lee give Horus a double stomp to the back of the head, followed by RUSH (on a bad leg) hitting the Bull's Horns for the win. after losing, Young said Horus doesn't deserve to be in ROH.

- Quinn McKay out to announces the matches that are official for ROH's return to Philadelphia for "Death Before Dishonor":

8. Vincent beat Matt Taven in a Steel Cage match to earn a shot at the ROH World Championship. Vincent came out with Taven's blood covered shirt and hung it over the cage door. Vincent kicked the door in Taven's face as the was trying to get in then went for a dive, but Taven slammed the door in his face, ripping it off the hinges. Taven and Vincent then began brawling around the arena (as some handy dandy helpers fixed the cage). Taven set up two tables at ringside, but Vincent attacked him and threw him into the ring, then locked the cage with a purple chain and threw away the key (which disappointed the fans who were chanting for him to eat it). midway through the match Bateman came out with two rolls of barbed wire and slid them into the ring. Mike Bennett lift commentary and ran down and attack Bateman. Bateman laid out Bennet, then stood on a chair and helped Vincent string up the barbed wire on the cage. Bennett got up and continued fighting while Vincent threw Taven into the barbed wire, cutting him open. later Taven made a comeback and wrapped the second strand around Vincent's head, then after busting him open getting a hatch he hid in the top of the ring apron and using it on him. Vita VonStarr made her way out with a bag of thumbtacks and threw it into the ring, but Taven got ahold of it and yelled "Thanks, dumbass!". Vita climbed the ring and tried to hit a dive, but Taven moved out of the way and she took out Vincent. Taven poured out the thumbtacks and Vita charged him, so he gave her a backdrop on them. Taven laid Vincent across the tacks and went for a splash off the top of the cage, but Vincent moved out way and Taven hit the tacks. Vincent then picked him up and hit an Orange Sunshine on the tacks, but only got a two count. Taven fought back and Dutch made his way out and tried to climb the cage, but Taven shoved him off onto the table, allowing Vincent to get back to his feet and hit a second Orange Sunshine on the distracted Taven for the win.

For the first time in nearly two years, Ring of Honor is returning to the historic 2300 Arena in the City of Brotherly Love for not one, but TWO, spectacular live events!

ROH presents Glory By Honor Night 1 on Friday, Aug. 20 and Glory By Honor Night 2 on Saturday, Aug. 21. Both shows will be streamed live for HonorClub.

GBH Night 1 is headlined by Flip Gordon challenging for the ROH World Championship, while Night 2 features current ROH World Champion RUSH and Dragon Lee of La Faccion Ingobernable against Bandido and Rey Horus.

MATT TAVEN, VINCENT TO SETTLE THE SCORE IN STEEL CAGE MATCH AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2



The long, bitter feud between former friends Matt Taven and Vincent will be settled inside a steel cage at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

The match was made on a tense, live episode of “Trending With Taven” during Best In The World Hour One at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore.

Vincent said he would give Taven a match only if Taven puts the ROH World Title shot that he is owed on the line. Taven, who desperately wants to settle the score with Vincent once and for all and move on, agreed to the stipulation.

Vincent also made the suggestion for the match to be contested inside a steel cage.

This will be the first steel cage match in ROH since 2014, when then-ROH World Television Champion Jay Lethal defeated Taven.

After the match was official, Taven nailed Vincent in the head with a table. The Righteous’ Bateman, Dutch and Vita Von Starr came to Vincent’s rescue. Taven briefly held his own before succumbing to the numbers game.

Dutch lawn-darted Taven into the “Trending with Taven” and through the ropes to the floor.

NEW ROH WORLD CHAMP BANDIDO'S FIRST TITLE DEFENSE IS AGAINST NEMESIS FLIP GORDON AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 1



If past results are any indication, new ROH World Champion Bandido’s first title defense could very well be his last.

At Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, Bandido will put his title on the line against Flip Gordon, a man he has never beaten.

The first time they squared off, in the main event at War of the Worlds in Buffalo in 2019, Gordon defeated Bandido clean with the Flip-5. When they met again, in a match filmed in an empty arena in Las Vegas last year, Gordon again won clean with the Flip-5.

Does “The Mercenary” have Bandido’s number?

Perhaps. But if we learned anything at Best in the World on July 11, it’s to never underestimate Bandido, who shocked the wrestling world by winning the title from RUSH, who had only been pinned once previously since debuting in ROH two and a half years ago.

One thing is certain: With the world title at stake, the third meeting between two of the most talented young stars in the sport is a match that is not to be missed!

BANDIDO AND REY HORUS BATTLE RUSH AND DRAGON LEE AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2



The talent and star power alone makes Bandido and Rey Horus versus RUSH and Dragon Lee at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena a must-see match. 

But the bout is even more compelling because Bandido just beat RUSH for the ROH World Title, and Lee, RUSH’s brother, is friends with Bandido.

After Bandido defeated RUSH at the Best in the World pay-per-view on July 11, RUSH and fellow La Faccion Ingobernable members Kenny King and Bestia del Ring attacked the new champion. However, Lee did not touch Bandido and was visibly conflicted.

It will be very interesting to see what transpires when Bandido and Lee are standing across the ring from each other in this tag match.

Horus and Lee are no strangers either. They’ve wrestled each other several times in Mexico, and earlier this year Horus came within an eyelash of defeating Lee for the ROH World Television Title.

Speaking of which, Lee is coming off a big win at Best in the World over Tony Deppen to become just the fifth man to regain the ROH World Television Title.

JONATHAN GRESHAM DEFENDS PURE TITLE AGAINST FELLOW FOUNDATION MEMBER RHETT TITUS AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 1



Rhett Titus spent the past several months as one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, but he never lost sight of his goal to win the ROH Pure Title.

Titus will get his opportunity when he challenges ROH Pure Champion and fellow Foundation member Jonathan Gresham in what is certain to be a pure wrestling classic
at Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

Titus, who saw his and Tracy Williams’ 107-day reign as tag team champions end at Best in the World on July 11 (Gresham, wrestling in his second match that night, replaced the injured Williams in the bout), is the No. 2-ranked contender in the Pure division.

Gresham, who successfully defended the Pure Title against Mike Bennett at Best in the World, is 11-0 in Pure Rules matches, including six title defenses.

However, Titus defeated Gresham in their only previous singles meeting, which took place in December 2019 on a Future of Honor event when Titus was MCW Pro Wrestling champion.

This will not be the first time Gresham has faced a Foundation member with the Pure Title on the line. He successfully defended the championship against Jay Lethal in a Pure Title Match on the historic 500th episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling in April, and he defeated Williams in the Pure Title Tournament final last fall.

Will Gresham continue his dominant run as champion? Or will Titus be The Foundation member who leaves Philly with the Pure Title?

VIOLENCE UNLIMITED AND LA FACCION INGOBERNABLE COLLIDE IN EIGHT-MAN TAG WAR AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 1



The last time Violence Unlimited and La Faccion Ingobernable squared off, the match ended in total chaos.

That was a six-man tag bout in April. There figures to be an even greater level of brutality and destruction when the two factions collide in an eight-man tag match at Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

On that night, Violence Unlimited’s Brody King, Tony Deppen and ROH World Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson and Homicide will go to war with La Faccion Ingobernable’s RUSH, ROH World Television Champion Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Bestia del Ring.

VU and LFI have been engaged in a three-way faction war (along with The Foundation) ever since VU debuted by attacking LFI at the 19th Anniversary pay-per-view in March.

In the most recent meeting between VU and LFI members, Lee defeated Deppen to regain the ROH World Television Title.

Meanwhile, Brody King still has a score to settle with RUSH and his family. Brody appeared to be on the verge of defeating then-ROH World Champion RUSH at Final Battle in December before RUSH’s brother, Lee, distracted the referee, and their father, Bestia del Ring, smashed a chair over his head and cost him the match.

A TALE OF BLOOD, BETRAYAL AND BRUTALITY: THE ROAD TO THE LAST STAND BETWEEN MATT TAVEN AND VINCENT



Steel cage matches are rare in Ring of Honor, but if ever the unforgiving steel structure was needed, it’s to settle the long-running feud between Matt Taven and Righteous leader Vincent once and for all.

The former friends will enter the cage for “The Last Stand” in the main event at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

One man will leave the cage victorious, but it’s unlikely either of them will ever be the same after what figures to be one of the most violent matches in ROH history. Making the stakes even higher is the fact that Taven’s shot at the ROH World Title is on the line.

How did it come to this for two men who had been close friends for 12 years? Here’s a timeline of some of the key moments in their blood feud:

Nov. 2, 2019: In one of the most shocking and heinous acts in ROH history, Vincent ambushed Taven and sliced open his forehead with an axe at The Experience. In the moments preceding the attack, Taven found fellow Kingdom members Vincent and TK O’Ryan laid out backstage. It was the second time in five weeks that Vincent and O’Ryan had been sneak-attacked -- or so it seemed. It would soon be revealed as a ruse orchestrated by Vincent, who had attacked O’Ryan and then laid down next to him.

Taven stormed to the ring and demanded the unknown assailant or assailants reveal themselves. Suddenly, the lights went out and a spotlight blinded Taven. Vincent then appeared behind Taven and chop-blocked him. He proceeded to nail Taven in the side of the head with his axe before raking the bit end of the weapon across Taven’s forehead. In perhaps the twisted Vincent’s most disgusting display yet, he actually tasted Taven’s blood and drew a “V” on his own forehead with the blood.

Vincent later said he attacked Taven because he was tired of him hogging the spotlight.



Dec. 13, 2019: Vincent scored a clean victory over Taven at ROH’s biggest show of the year, Final Battle. After the match, Righteous follower Bateman attacked Taven and planted him with This is a Kill (tombstone piledriver). Vincent then brought in a wood block, placed it between Taven’s feet and smashed his already injured right ankle with a steel chair.

June 11, 2020: Vincent entered Taven’s home and assaulted him while he was participating in a Facebook Live Q&A. Vincent targeted Taven’s surgically repaired right ankle.

Oct. 10, 2020: While Vincent stood in the ring and delivered his message, Taven made his first appearance since the home invasion and attacked him. Taven went after Vincent’s eye, and then ripped off the canvas to expose the wood. He hit Climax on Vincent on the wood. Taven put Vincent on a table outside the ring and hit a frog splash that sent Vincent through the table. Taven told Vincent this is just the beginning.



Oct. 24, 2020: A grudge match between Taven and Vincent never officially got started. Vincent jumped Taven from behind as Taven made his entrance. Vincent hit Orange Sunshine off the ring post, sending Taven face-first to the floor. Vincent pulled out a purple ladder from under the ring, the same ladder Taven climbed to win the ROH World Title at Madison Square Garden in 2019. Vincent hit a senton off the ladder to put Taven through the table.

Dec. 18, 2020: Taven’s best friend, Mike Bennett, returned to ROH after a five-year absence to fight alongside Taven in his war against Vincent and The Righteous. At Final Battle, The OGK (Taven and Bennett) defeated The Righteous (Vincent and Bateman).

As Taven and Bennett celebrated their hard-fought victory, The Righteous’ Vita VonStarr came up from behind and delivered a low blow to both of them. Vincent hit Orange Sunshine on Taven, and Bateman tackled Bennett. Vincent used zip ties to trap Taven in the ropes, and VonStarr used her legs to choke Taven. With Taven being forced to watch, Vincent placed a wood block between Bennett’s feet and slammed a steel chair on his right ankle, recreating the scene from a year ago when he did the same thing to Taven.



Jan. 30, 2021: After The OGK defeated The Bouncers, the two teams were about to do the post-match toast of honor. However, Vincent came out to the stage and used his powers of persuasion to talk Bruiser into smashing a beer bottle over Taven’s head.

Feb. 20, 2021: After Bennett defeated Bateman in a singles match, Taven hit the ring and attacked Bateman. Taven and Bennett got a wood block and placed it between Bateman’s ankles. Taven grabbed a steel chair and vowed to injure Bateman’s ankle in the same manner in which Bateman and Vincent injured him and Bennett unless Vincent agreed to face him in a match. Vincent appeared on the video screen and said he would not give Taven what he wants. Taven smashed the chair on Bateman’s ankle.



March 26, 2021: Vincent invited Taven to meet him at PAL Hall in Fall River, Mass. -- the building where they cut their teeth in pro wrestling over a decade ago -- to battle it out in an unsanctioned match. They stomped each other all over their old stomping grounds, ferociously fighting on multiple levels of the historic building. As they exchanged blows while perched on a balcony, a large man in overalls came up behind them and knocked them off the balcony. Taven and Vincent crashed through a table below. The mystery man, who would later be revealed as Dutch, the newest member of The Righteous, picked up Vincent and carried him out.

May 22, 2021: Prior to The OKG’s title match against ROH World Tag Team Champions Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus, The Righteous attacked Taven backstage and injured his right ankle. Taven fought through the pain and competed in the match, but he and Bennett ultimately came out on the losing end. After the match, Vincent appeared on the video screen and taunted Taven.

June 26, 2021: During a match between Taven and Dutch, Vincent came out to the stage wearing Taven’s purple suit. He mockingly clapped for Taven. Taven tried to get to Vincent, but he was cut off by Bateman. Bateman and VonStarr attacked Taven. Bennett came out and jumped on Bateman, while Dutch joined VonStarr in beating on Taven.Vincent taunted Taven and seemed to be enjoying the chaos, but he didn’t get physically involved.



July 11, 2021: In a special Trending With Taven segment at Best in the World, Taven said he would leave ROH if Vincent faces him in one final match. Vincent said he doesn’t want to get rid of Taven because that would take all the fun out of things. Vincent said he wants Taven to put his ROH World Title shot on the line. Taven agreed to the stipulation. Vincent also made the suggestion for the match to be contested inside a steel cage.

After the match was official, Taven nailed Vincent in the head with a table. Bateman, Dutch and Von Starr came to Vincent’s rescue. Taven briefly held his own before succumbing to the numbers game. Bateman and Dutch lawn-darted Taven into the Trending With Taven sign and through the ropes to the floor.

FLIP GORDON AND DEMONIC FLAMITA JOIN FORCES TO TAKE ON THE BRISCOES AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2



“The Mercenary” Flip Gordon and Demonic Flamita have a heated history as opponents, but they’ll be partners at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia's 2300 Arena when they take on Jay and Mark Briscoe in tag team action.

When Gordon and Flamita faced each other last year, Gordon won the match and then ripped off Flamita’s mask, the ultimate disrespect one can show a luchador. Flamita won the rematch several months ago, but Gordon again unmasked him.

All of that occurred before Flamita embraced his dark side and transformed into Demonic Flamita. He and Gordon now share a similar philosophy, which is to win at all costs and show no respect for their opponents.

Gordon, by the way, could enter this match as the new ROH World Champion. He challenges Bandido for the title at Glory By Honor Night 1.

As for the Briscoes, they are finally on the same page after settling their differences in the Fight on the Farm earlier this month. As per Papa Briscoe’s demand, Jay and Mark started at the bottom as they embarked on their quest to win their 12th ROH World Tag Team Title.

Since reuniting, the Briscoes are 2-0 and looking every bit like the baddest tag team on the planet.

CAN THE FOUNDATION GET BACK ON TRACK IN EIGHT-MAN TAG AGAINST VIOLENCE UNLIMITED AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2?



The Foundation has lost several battles as of late in its faction war with Violence Unlimited, but the pure wrestling purveyors have an opportunity to get back on track at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

That night, The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus) squares off against Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Tony Deppen, Chris Dickinson and Homicide) in an eight-man tag match.

VU went 2-0 against The Foundation at Best in the World on July 11. King scored a dominant victory over Lethal, and Homicide and Dickinson defeated Titus and Gresham (substituting for the injured Williams) in a Fight Without Honor to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

VU also defeated The Foundation in a previous eight-man tag match a couple months ago.

The Foundation’s downward spiral continued this past weekend, when Lethal, Williams, Titus and Joe Keys (substituting for the injured Gresham) lost an eight-man tag match to Shane Taylor Promotions.

It wasn’t all that long ago that The Foundation was the top faction in ROH, as the group had the Pure Title (held by Gresham), World Television Title (held by Williams) and World Tag Team Title (held by Williams and Titus). Only Gresham is still champion.

Can The Foundation turn it around? Or will Violence Unlimited prevail over pure again?

EC3 AND BRIAN JOHNSON FACE OFF AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 1



EC3 and “The Mecca” Brian Johnson are both intense athletes and gifted talkers. But that’s where the similarities end.

EC3 came to ROH to find out if honor is real, and he has competed honorably. Johnson, conversely, is obnoxious and willing to achieve victory by any means necessary.

They’ll face each other for the first time at Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

EC3 is coming off an impressive win over Flip Gordon at Best in the World. By defeating Gordon -- who challenges ROH World Champion Bandido on the same night EC3 and Johnson square off -- EC3 inserted himself into the world title picture, and he’s looking to keep his momentum going.

A win over EC3 would be the biggest of Johnson’s career, and it couldn’t happen at a better venue for the Philadelphia native.

EC3 has the size and strength advantage, but Johnson has more than held his own against powerhouses. He knocked off Sledge in the Survival of the Fittest tournament and accomplished the rare feat of kicking out of PCO’s moonsault.

VERY BUSY DALTON CASTLE AND VERY NICE, VERY EVIL DANHAUSEN MEET FOR FIRST TIME AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2



Dalton Castle versus Danhausen is a match that had to happen.

Two of pro wrestling’s most entertaining and eccentric performers will square off for the first time at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

Castle has had a more pronounced spring in his sashay since defeating Josh Woods at the 19th Anniversary pay-per-view in March. The former ROH World Champion, who has a new entrance and new (and more) boys, has managed to crack the top five in the ROH World Television Title rankings despite his very busy schedule.

Danhausen has become one of ROH’s biggest fan favorites, but the very nice, very evil one is still searching for a very impressive victory. Defeating an established star such as Castle certainly would accomplish that goal.

Both Castle and Danhausen have been making waves away from the ring recently.

Castle, who is friends with actor and former WCW World Champion David Arquette, helped Arquette’s team defeat Paul “Pee-wee Herman” Reubens’ team on ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud.” Danhausen was a guest on Conan O’Brien’s podcast and he also appeared on and guest-hosted Renee Paquette’s podcast.

Will “The Peacock” prevail in Philly? Or will Danhausen leave with the winner’s share of the sacks of human money?

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Shane Taylor Promotions’ most recent title defense was against the odd trio of Dalton Castle, Dak Draper and Eli Isom at Best in the World.

Incoherence (Delirious, Hallowicked and Frightmare) is back together for the first time in more than a decade, and the unorthodox masked men are determined to leave Philly with the six-man gold.

A match between no-nonsense STP and bizarre Incoherence is a match we never thought we’d see in ROH, but it’s definitely a must-see.

Incoherence was a force in CHIKARA in traditional and six-man tag team competition. Delirious and Hallowicked held the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas Title for 331 days in 2007-2008 and made a record five successful title defenses.

The challengers will be facing a team that is undefeated (7-0) in six-man tag team competition, including five title defensese (three in ROH, two oustide of ROH).

BRISCOES BATTLE THE RIGHTEOUS' BATEMAN AND DUTCH AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 1



It’s a rare occasion when Jay and Mark Briscoe face a tag team that is every bit as nasty and violent as they are, but Aug. 20 at Glory By Honor Night 1 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena will be one of those rare occasions.

That night, the Briscoes will tangle with Bateman and Dutch of The Righteous.

While the 11-time former ROH World Tag Team Champion Briscoes are focused on working their way back into title contention, the monstrous duo of Bateman and Dutch seem more concerned with inflicting pain on their opponents than winning matches. Case in point: Dutch has only had two matches thus far in ROH, and he’s been disqualified in both.

Bateman and Dutch are willing to go to any lengths to please Righteous leader Vincent, who surely would be ecstatic if they were to decimate the most decorated tag team in ROH history.

Six ROH stars with diverse skill sets and personalities will collide in Six-Man Mayhem at Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, with the winner getting a spot in the ROH World Title rankings.

The competitors in the bout are: Mike Bennett, PJ Black, Danhausen, Demonic Flamita, Dak Draper and Eli Isom. Bennett is the only one among them who has ever challenged for the ROH World Championship.

Several of the competitors have recent history together. Draper and Isom have been both opponents and reluctant partners over the past few months, and Bennett defeated Black to win a Pure gauntlet match in June.

Demonic Flamita has taken his game to a higher level since embracing his evil side. He defeated Bandido less than three months before Bandido won the ROH World Title from RUSH.

Speaking of evil, the very nice, very evil Danhausen will likely have the support of the majority of fanhausens in attendance.

CHELSEA GREEN AND WILLOW TAKE ON ROK-C AND MIRANDA ALIZE AT GLORY BY HONOR NIGHT 2



It’s an exciting new era for the ROH women’s division, and four of the division’s brightest stars will compete in tag team action at Glory By Honor Night 2 on Aug. 21 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

The match pits former world champion “Hot Mess” Chelsea Green and Willow against “The Prodigy” Rok-C and “Lucha Baddie” Miranda Alize.

Green, who will also appear at Glory By Honor Night 1 on Aug. 20, shocked the wrestling world when she showed up at the Best in the World pay-per-view on July 11. Due to a broken arm, Green wasn’t medically cleared to compete in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament, so her highly anticipated ROH in-ring debut will occur in Philly.

Her tag partner, Willow, defeated Alex Gracia in her ROH debut in June. Willow is coming off a hard-fought loss to multiple-time former world champion Allysin Kay in a tournament first-round match.

Rok-C and Alize both scored impressive first-round victories. The 19-year-old Rok-C knocked off former world champion Sumie Sakai, and Alize defeated Gracia.
