Just a minor nitpick about the SNES Royal Rumble: you can suplex Yokozuna at will. When you pull him up, he loses 100 pounds. And he can jump off the turnbuckle to execute the Banzai Splash halfway across the ring. But that's minor. Everything else is great. If doing something in my room, I will put Crush's theme on and let it loop. My favorite is bouncing off the ropes to take out the referee, grab a chair and beat the hell out of my brother.

No Mercy was so much fun but hated that erase data glitch. I think this is the top answer for me. Things that took me hours to beat just f***ing gone. Multiple times, even when I got a second copy. I don't even know how bug-free copies of the game exist since the three copies I went through all had the data erase. The fourth copy I bought had the no-save bug after completing one of the Championship paths and moving onto another.

Legends of Wrestling 2 is not a good wrestling game. The actual wrestling is very simple and repetitive and the creation modes are kind of restrictive.
But, it let you manually end a move in a pinfall years before WWE games did it, and it let you transition to submissions out of certain moves, which WWE still doesn't do. So you could do a snapmare and go straight into a chin lock, just like on TV.
Plus, they had a career mode with multiple, randomly-selected storylines, multiple regions with their own promoters, and each region had about 5 unique jobbers (who all had the same moveset, sadly).

I gifted my N64 to my stepsister years ago, but it lasted me years without any issues.

Feel like HCTP could have used a longer career/story mode.

No Mercy's story mode was a lot of fun, but I feel like some of the challenges were prohibitively difficult depending on who you were playing with, so I'd often either make a CAW or use someone who had a very N64-era powerful moveset like Perry Saturn and go through it that way. Like, the infamous Chyna match where you have to beat her within a certain amount of time, that is much more doable with some movesets than others, especially if you can critical her.

SvR 06 is still my favorite wrestling game and the reason I got into wrestling in the first place, but it was impossible to be a high flying wrestler. They were at a weird point where they wanted to purge all of the ugly legacy animations from the PS1 games but didn't have enough time to redo everything because of the yearly cycle so they had to focus on the ones that reflected what was on TV at the time. And for the moves that did exist, there ere major issues. Springboard moves were either impossible to pull off or looked like crap, chain wresting and most lucha sequences were relegated to "Cruiserweight Moves 1-4" as part of everyone's moveset, and there was a glitch in the PS2 version where the CPU would kick out at 2 of every top rope move that automatically ended in a pin (which was all splash varieties, HBK's elbow drop, and a few others).
Also, 3 f***ing Hogans? And not even a WCW Arena?

Also, 3 f***ing Hogans? And not even a WCW Arena? Speaking of SvR2006, I remember once I was playing as Batista against Daivari. In that game for some reason the Batista Bomb just absolutely would not get a three-count unless you hit the spinebuster first, and he absolutely refused to take the spinebuster, so I had to just crush him for like 45 minutes straight desperately begging for him to just take the damn spinebuster so I could end it already. I think the same game was also the one where computer heels if they were about to lose in a title match would make a point of doing everything they could to get themselves DQed which could make it very hard to actually do satisfying title changes.

SVR 04 is messy, but I'm so nostalgic for that soundtrack.

HCTP is amazing but the endurance stat makes it a huge chore to beat guys in the likes of Brock/Taker/Goldberg when trying to breeze through Season mode. Don't get me started on Kurt Angle who not only has freakish endurance but counters everything you do. Thankfully they tone it down some in the later editions. To its credit it does allow you to modify wrestler base stats so I remember messing around to get Christian/Mysterio/Cena and others to more respectable levels and nerfing others (I love Triple H but his strength being at 9.5 must've been a mandate from Hunter himself)
And while most models are gorgeous (Ultimo Dragon's is probably the best) some are just dreadfully off. Rhyno looks fine enough until you realize he has the same bulk as Tajri. Booker T would be fantastic if his eyes weren't always in Clockwork Orange mode. Triple H's is probably the worst with LOTR goblin face and hair made out of shredded paper

Between the awful clunky styles system, it being the first game from their weird kick of making you have to earn stats for CAWs basically rendering them unusable, and how absurdly glitchy it is, SvR2008 is a pretty terrible game, but at least the idea of its Career Mode is pretty damn good. It's marred by how buggy it is for sure, but having to manage your daily schedule to grind stats and do things for extra money and popularity is a good system that has some real room to add a lot of depth and replayability to the experience.

Those things (after manipulating the sliders so they weren't that bad) where why I like the game so much. Guys would play like they would in "real life."

Eddie's frogsplash is almost impossible to hit cleanly. Opponent always stands up to get clobbered on the head instead.

Eddie's Frogsplash being broken stands out because the game came out days after his death, so a lot of people took Eddie out for their first matches and season mode, and you could never hit his finisher properly. Just as well, because it meant anyone who took Eddie out on Career Mode missed the awkward story he's involved in, which involves Undertaker putting him in a casket.

I think it was if you shoot people into the corner, then do that thing where you leapfrog them to put them on the ground, it helped hit it. I also would turn off those effects they'd put on finishers, since I felt like it increased the odds of the CPU standing up too early.
