And again draft order in the grand scheme can mean jack shit, health and being mindful of waivers is your real long game, just to refresh as we head into the last week of the regular season, here was the draft order and their current records: 1. Sexy Billy (7-6) 2. Pumpkin Spice Mafia (4-9) 3. The Showstoppas! (11-2) 4. Jumping into the Shark (1-12) 5. hashtagdaly's Swell Team (7-6) 6. Fresh Princes of Bel Air (6-7) 7. Groose Football Team (7-6) 8. Hakuna Matata (7-6) 9. The CJB Fightin' Eagles (8-5) 10. GYN Comfywolves (5-8) 11. Return of the Jazz (7-6) 12. Edge of Insanity (9-4) 13. Delaware Clams (4-9) 14. Anal Bleeding Bob (8-5) Shows having an earlier or later pick might not matter in the end, it's the depth you can muster, breakout performances, waiver strats, and above all health luck, which can matter especially your number one pick So I guess a thank you goes out to Clams and Bob for not taking Taylor twice each. Lol. Thanks fellas. Kidding Just for further insight to how much the draft might matter... Here is an overview of who I picked and when and what they're currently doing: 1. (9) Tyreek Hill WR- Extreme boom or bust depending on Mahomes who regressed this season, but when he hits, he carries, still an every week starter 2. (20) Josh Allen QB, gamble pick who outside of two bad weeks has done everything asked of him just about, every week starter 3. (37) Chris Carson RB, went down to a season ending injury week four, traded him fir JD McKissic right before he was ruled out 4. (48) Chris Godwin WR- Traded him for Adam Thielen, not much to complain about there 5. (65) Chase Edmonds RB- Off and on injured, while Connor has gotten the bulk of the load he's been good in PPR, when healthy, he should be off IR for this week and the playoffs 6. (76) Robert Tonyan TE- Abysmal failure. Outright cost me week two. Eventually dropped him only for him to eventually tear his ACL as a member of the Comfywolves 7. (93) Robby Anderson WR- Completely underperformed and still is, poor QB play is a factor in that. Eventually dropped him and moved on 8. (104) Zack Moss RB- My ultimate love hate relationship this season. Cut him week one when he was a healthy scratch, he heated up with the sharks so I traded back for him mid season, only for him to bottom out and be a dropped healthy scratch again. He sits in the waiver pile of Buffalos running back mess. 9. (121) Michael Pittman Jr. WR- Steal of the draft imo. Dude has been a borderline WR1 most weeks. I think a lot of people doubted Wentz period and that worked out in my favor here. He is usually started. 10. (132) Baker Mayfield QB- Injured to hell and back in an offense committed to running, dropped him for Wentz who ended up getting me Edwards Helaire in a trade so... He did something for me? 11. (149) Anthony Firkser TE- Dropped him early, dude is not a fantasy tight end and is still in waivers. All of the Titans receivers are hurt and he still wont catch passes lol 12. (160) Indianapolis DEF- Been a great defense when Ive started them most weeks. Have streamed defenses throughout the year but Indy was pegged for a regression year and they've held up for the most part. 13. (177) Nick Folk K- Was practice squadded week one and cut by me. Earned his job back later but I have moved on and well it's kickers, not the worst to replace 14. (188) DeVante Parker WR- On and off my and others rosters all year because of long bouts with injuries, riding the waiver wire again 15. (205) Tyrell Williams WR- Got hurt like... Week 2? Dont think he played since, long since dropped. Shows how important waivers are and making tbe right moves, my draft was given an A, the result after a whole season is anything but, but things worked out. Literally looked at the first few pages and saw the chaos of every Ravens RB going down and it being a wasteland, and here I am with a Devonta Freeman Ravens resurgance as he's become my most reliable RB and one of the better options in the last half of the league year. Fantasy is weird, and this has been a weird but very fun league year when I can say it's one week before the playoffs and only two teams have actually clinched lol

The Patriots' decision to just run almost all game until Joe Buck showed up on the Manningcast to roast Peyton paid off for me, though Joe's daughter and I have something in common and that is we both wanted Beasley to actually do things tonight. AND THE LOSING STREAK HAS BEEN SNAPPED! Too little too late but if I'm gonna miss the playoffs I'm gonna at least f***ing go down swinging. Its gonna be a legitimate free for all for a playoff spot this year. There are five teams that have wound up at 7-6 and Fresh Princes still have a shot at 6-7 playing Groose. You can play spoiler to Demented. Seth can play spoiler to Jazz, and Daley/Billy is basically a playoff win and in, and a potential lose and out. Every game matters in the last week to some degree, that's what you want. On that note, even though Yahoo hasn't put that nice little star next to Clint & Bob (both being 8-5) they indeed have both secured a playoff spot since, of the five teams that are 7-6, two of them play each other next week making it mathematically impossible for all 5 of those teams to all win.

Personally speaking, I don't know why anyone would want the top pick. Way too much risk when you don't get another pick until pick 28. I'm not sure who has McCaffrey this year, but I don't imagine it worked out very well for them. I once started a keeper league on the side of the normal league, and save one or two people, nobody was interested. I had it up for a month and I think 5 people registered, so I just closed it up and didn't do it. That wasn't super-recently, but it wasn't a really long time ago either. I wouldn't mind if someone else did a keeper league (I'd probably even join), but I wouldn't want to do it in place of the normal league. As far as the draft order, I always just thought the rando was the best way to handle it. Default Yahoo rules actually have it where the order is unknown until the lobby is available to load (about 20-30 minutes before the actual draft itself). I thought it'd be more fun (and strategic) to make it a lottery thing I do where you can know beforehand and build a strategy. I've considered balancing newbies to the league and vets in the order (or doing an NBA lottery style where more spaces are taken up on "the wheel" for vets when we do the draft but newbies or bad records just have one space, almost assuring they stick around longer), but have always debated how to sort it especially since the "best position to draft" is subjective as it is. I know people who LOVE drafting at one of the ends of the draft and think the middle is a total valley. I know others that subscribe to spots 7 & 8 are prime territory. In a keeper league, I definitely think the discussion of "where do newbies draft" and how to consider previous results needs to take place, considering you keep players year after year. But in a league that's basically a full-reset year after year, I feel a simple "rando everybody" is best. I've also debated doing an auction draft, so then the draft order wouldn't matter (for those that don't know, there IS an order on who picks the player being bid on, and if nobody bids you get them, but otherwise it just goes to the highest bidder). The draft would go MUCH longer in that case; I've been in a league at a former job where we did an auction draft...then again, we discussed doing the draft at a different day/time next year too. More stuff we can discuss in the off-season. It's not a huge thing to me. Personally, when I made that thing about getting the first pick, I wasn't 100% serious about it. It's more a laugh for me about how bad I am.

Edge you always thwart me on the waiver wire I swear lol
Guess Crowder is gonna be my emergency option if Edmonds and McKissic can't go, this is gonna be an interesting week to monitor injury reports lol

Groose chases specific players and hopes he's in a spot where they fall (he wanted Kelce BAD and was ecstatic when he was there). I usually have my best luck in the early/middle of the round. Twice I've been deep in the back, and neither time has it gone well. But some people have nailed it.

Depends on if people wanna rotate in and out or if you can add more teams. I know there were one or two people who said they wanted in next year. I'm probably coming back regardless, despite some posts.in this thread I've enjoyed this league a lot lol. I have no clue how deep a league can get. This could be something to discuss with Powerline , I assume a keeper league allows you to keep some players while the rest go into a new draft. Could be fun, I don't mind either way I would not get my hopes up for a keeper league unless it's a side thing. I kind of like how the leagues here are one and done and everyone starts on a fresh slate. I will say there might be potential in the worst team this year gets the first pick next year as appose to the draft lottery. Maybe returning teams can get the earlier picks based on record of last year and the remining spots go to newer teams, or flip it where new teams get early picks and the returning teams get the later picks depending on where they placed this year. I kind of like the former as it gives perks to keep doing the league each year. Depends on what the commissioner wants to do. At this point I'm just throwing darts to see what sticks. I agree that the league being one and done is for the best. I don't think there would be enough interest for a keeper league.

So let me get this staight Edge, you add KJ before me in waivers, dont start him, and then drop him, so the 15 fantasy points I could have had starting him in FLEX goes to nothing, while I watch Powerlines kicker dominate?
Lovely start to my last regular season week lmfao. I'm not even mad I just dont understand. I assume you were gonna use him as a safety net for a reciever that turned out good to go and never had an intent to start him. Just my luck to be dead last in waiver priority lol

And I needed a safety net in case Mitchell didn't play more. Sorry

This week is a mess. Between byes and the covid list wave, this week is an adventure of lineup spot fills, and of course it's the last week of the regular season where half the league is fighting for playoffs lmfao

You always gotta check in on injury reports and designations, today alone has been a shitstorm lol You have a strong enough team to bounce back but even if you lose, you have a high point total so you still might back in to the playoffs depending on how this shakes out
