Even with all the rumors from Meltzer that plans have changed, I am STILL going to bet on Hangman winning the title at All Out. It is the right move and I'll be disappointed if we get anything else. The Meltzer report only makes me want to double down. AEW has been criticized somewhat for being predictable. Using the media to create uncertainty makes perfect sense. The only alternative is CM Punk getting the rocket strapped for the Chicago crowd. Christian being put in the main event would destroy him in AEW. The company has not, to this point, given me any reason to think it would ever in a million years book against its interest like that. Not saying it can't happen, but if it does that's some WWE shit and would probably be the most disappointed I've ever been as a wrestling fan. One thing that I remember on the Observer show just like a week or two ago was Alvarez talking about why they're able to talk plans for WWE and not AEW; WWE sources want to say what's going to happen, AEW sources don't. Now I'm really hgoping they don't start going the "work the sheets" route with shit becuase that's lame. But it does stand out as weird that this time there's talk of plans changing.

Yeah that’s a good point. It’s strange to me that they would let reporters know plans had changed. It kinda goes into how we know the rumors of Punk and Bryan, when last year we never seemed to get much leaks of who was being signed. Them signing Hardy, Brodie, FTR, Miro, Black, Andrade, we never got major leaks except for scant reports. So it’s kinda strange thinks are leaking now when they were generally tight lipped on everything.

It's definitely curious that we're seeing these scant few bits coming out and not much a whole lot else, and that, as mentioned, we've had surprises since that flew totally under the radar. Just interesting how that works.

Against, the writings on the wall for Omega vs Christian. And I think Punk vs Darby is the main event.

Not to mention, if we were about to move Christian into the spot Hangman was in, Blade wouldn't have jumped the guard rail to attack him this week.. furthering the Christian vs. HFO storyline. If Christian was moving into that spot, we wouldn't continue the angle, when we are about to be less than a month away from their biggest Pay Per View of all time.

Derailing Page's arc for a cheap pop with Christian or Punk in it instead would do far more harm than good

I love how Christian has been used since he came to AEW. I think he's been a great addition to the roster and seems to be doing well with the crowds.
Put Christian in the spot that people thought was for Hangman though, and I can see the crowd turning on Christian. Not in a heel heat way, but in a we don't want this guy on our screens way. That would be unfair on both Hangman and Christian.

FOR. This is the time. It would be an epic mistake to alter the course of their story bc of new names coming in.

(And as for updates on the wager, I’ll get to them later when I have access to a computer).

You can't alter the Hangman story this close to the zenith, and Christian vs. Jungle Boy is right there. It goes back to the glance JB gave when Luchasaurus had Christian on his shoulders. Stay the course and work the dirt sheets.

If Hangman doesn't win the title at All Out, I'll change my name to a different anime character for a month.
If Hangman doesn't even CHALLENGE for the title at All Out, I'll let the FAN board suggest the name I change it to for the month.
The stips are: 1) It has to be a character/anime I know. 2) Keep it to a max PG-13 anime.

Stick me down for For. If it doesn't happen, well, it'll be miserable enough, might as well add a new name to the bargain.

If the reports coming out are in fact true we might need to edit this wager thread for Full Gear lol

I think we are going to see Omega vs Miro at All Out PPV and Miro goes over in a huge way to the point where Omega gets carried out on a stretcher after the match. A broken Omega goes on to drop all his belts during the next few weeks after AEW’s PPV as he is not close to 100% because of the injuries caused by God’s favorite champion.
Ripple effect will be enormous.
TNT Tournament
Cowboy Page (after birth of his new child) fights of his demons and insecurities to defeat the monster in Miro.
Now you have Omega in 2022 coming for Page declaring the Cowboy has never beaten him and can’t defeat him.
