Not exactly blowing anyone's mind here but compared to last week this week's show had three straight-up rematches (one of them technically for the third week in a row), as well as three more where some combination of the same people faced each other week to week, like Sheamus and Priest having a singles match last week and a tag one this week.
While we're on the subject every one of the straight rematches from last week had the opposite winner.

This was the 5th week in a row a match has taken place 2 weeks in a row on Raw. For when we have had multiple matches take place multiple weeks in a row, check out my Facts & Stats

Serious question: When was the last Raw that did not feature a direct rematch from the previous two weeks?

This is the main reason that is pushing me away from watching. You can't really speak much about it as it is what it is. = Bullshit.

Damien Priest vs John Morrison is a great match on paper between two extremely athletic dudes
And I never want to see it again because it feels like they've done it 300 f***ing times already...

Vince - Well you see, this is just a result of us delivering an entertainment package that directly reflects the branding of our Monday night entertainment spectacular. Because it's a little known fact beyond certain in-the-know circles, but the letter 'R' in RAW stands for 'Rematches.' I feel like there's been some mistake among the sports entertainment pundit class that our choice in naming of the brand has to do with some... let's say, lowbrow innuendo, and I can confirm you in all honesty that is not the case. We are a family friendly, all ages, predetermined competitive, uh, occasionally violent entertainment affair that is suitable for all ages. The brand RAW when taken out of its anagram form and stated completely actually stands for... 'Rematches Always... What?' No questions, please.

It's funny. I sometimes play the wrestling management sim TEW, Total Extreme Wrestling. It's the sequel to EWR. And in TEW, there's this system that if you do the same match a lot within a six month span, you get a penalty - unless it's an actually built series where the matches keep topping each other, and it's intentional and booked that way. Whenever I play, I keep close track that when I book my TV, the opponents are fresh. Don't take this as me somehow saying that a silly video game makes me a legit booker and I could book a wrestling company lmao. Not at all. But I do feel like WWE could hugely benefit from a system where they really keep track of the match ups, and if these guys have faced off against each other, say, twice on TV within a six month window, you find different opponents. Because nothing is more dull than seeing the same matches over and over and over. I remember when I really stopped watching WWE for a long time, I feel like New Day and the Usos wrestler each other every single wee and every single PPV. They probably didn't, but you still create that perception, and it makes me hate everyone involved, and less willing to tune in for the shows. Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston also come to mind.
I STILL hate the Usos and the New Day because of that booking, I just get flashbacks and suffer from post traumatic stress disorder whenever they're on TV.
You guys remember Sheamus and Del Rio? Sheamus never recovered.

The whole roster has to interact to keep things fresh. Would it have hurt anybody to have something like Drew vs Angel Garza?
Or if you want rematches, it can keep things fresh. Imagine Sheamus, Morrison, Mace, and T-Bar vs Priest, Ricochet, Ali, and Mansoor. Let them cut loose, and have Chicago rocking for a fast paced exciting match. Or Jinder and pals vs Drew, Keith, and Truth. Let the main eventers have friends that are lower on the card.

At the rate they've been getting rid of people, there'll only be 10 wrestlers left to fight one another week after week.
Either that, or they're doing "Best of 7" series with people, but forgot to promote it, or tell anyone.

Serious question: When was the last Raw that did not feature a direct rematch from the previous two weeks? June 21 was the last time that no matches aired from the previous week, but the week before had 2 matches from a week before that. Here's a list of all of the matches that have taken place 2 weeks in a row on Raw in 2021. 1) Riddle VS Lashley (1/4, 1/11) 2) Hardy VS Ryker (1/11, 1/18) 3) Asuka VS Bliss (1/18, 1/25) 4) Lashley VS Miz (3/1 (2x), 3/8) 5) McIntyre VS Sheamus (3/1, 3/8) 6) Lashley VS Sheamus (3/15, 3/22) 7) Woods VS Styles (3/31, 4/2) 8) Viking Raiders VS Alexander & Benjamin (4/12, 4/19) 9) McIntyre & Strowman VS Mace & T-BAR (4/19, 4/26) 10) Priest VS Morrison (5/3, 5/10, 5/17) 11) Natalya & Tamina VS Baszler & Jax (5/17, 5/24) 12) Asuka VS Flair (5/17, 5/24) 13) McIntyre VS Kingston (5/24, 5/31) 14) Ryker VS Elias (6/7, 6/14) 15) Hardy VS Alexander (6/7, 6/14) 16) Asuka & Naomi VS Doudrop & Eva Marie (6/21, 6/28) 17) Ricochet VS Morrison (6/28, 7/5, 7/12) 18) Carrillo VS Sheamus (7/12, 7/19) 19) A.S.H. VS Flair (7/19, 7/26, 8/2) 20) Ali & Mansoor VS Mace & T-BAR (7/26, 8/2) 21) Lee VS Kross (7/26, 8/2)
