One year. Punk may just want his wrestling career to end on a better note than it did in WWE. I mean the first part was probably right…. But the second LOL

Bischoff recently made comments on if Punk can thrive in the WWE and Bischoff said that Punk would shit the bed.

I mean the first part was probably right…. But the second LOL Commenting a post from over a year ago which looking back at it with all the unpredictable events that had happened since is funny in hindsight. I think it is worth bringing up

Listen to this dude for once, we’ve finally found his niche in the wrestling world! Bischoff is a world-class bullshit artist but he seems like a fairly nice guy personally. Like, if you had a dinner or a couple drinks with him, you’d probably have a pretty good time. Punk is an asshole in the streets and an asshole in the sheets.

Trying my absolute hardest not to make a sex joke. For real though... I can see him sticking around a few years, maybe 5 max? But the industry seems to get weirder and weirder every year so who the hell knows? Nobody thought there would even be a serious number two wrestling promotion back in 2017. Two months ago I would have laughed if somebody told me CM Punk was returning. Doing my best to not post a provocative AJ Lee gif. Yeah the only time you hear the "Punk is an impossible person to work with narrative" is from WWE-backed or inspired spin. Or Teddy Hart. And no one should take any of the above at face value. Ehhh..even dudes from his Indy days have said he was a lil moody and emotionally turbulent. Punk’s a particular type of cat. No doubt WWE has been (and arguably still can be) toxic, and we all know the effect and toll it took on him. Which is why his time in AEW will be so interesting because by all accounts, it’s a super positive, progressive and “chill” place. Ahahahahahaha thank you so much for bumping this.

Really speaks to the positivity around Punk's return and also to how much people were still really big fans of Punk before he went and pulled the shit he did. Dude wasn't some pariah everyone was waiting to see f*** up; this shit killed fandoms.

I wish I was gifted with the foresight to have said a year ago that he'd flame out in a muffin-fueled rampage.

I wish that I had made a post in this thread last year so that I could have edited it to be like "personally I think he will fly in to a muffin rage in the month of September next year"

Full time wrestling for a few years. Less than Danielson. Maybe about three. AEW usually signs talent to three year deals. He can then shift to part time work. Managing. Commentating. Etc. He could work in AEW for years to come. Doesn't have to be all wrestling. He seemed to really love commentary and still loves doing it. I see him eventually shifting to that when he's done in ring. Well I was wrong, but I did make all these calculations without Muffin equations factored in...

I didn’t expect muffins, a man biting another man and Larry the dog tho

Punk is an asshole in the streets and an asshole in the sheets. As an on-screen performer in WWE, I thought Eric was one of the better characters they had as a GM on Raw. From what I heard, he did everything that was asked of him without incident even if it was embarrassing (getting a stinkface from Rikishi). While I was a big fan of Punk, I can't see him thriving in WWE nowadays but I could be wrong.
