3 million views on YouTube for the debut. Number one trending on YouTube. Number 2 is the promo But he's not a draw anymore. He's nowhere near as popular as "This other guy"... Whole lot of tasty crow being eaten by a certain company on what is supposed to be one of their biggest event days of the year

Will be on Dynamite this Wednesday (according to Meltzer) good idea to keep the momentum going but I don't expect him to be a weekly fixture.

So I know Punk has talked about how miserable and unhealthy he was at the end of his WWE career but looking at twitter and people posting comparisons to how he looked last night and how he looked his last year in WWE.... man it's night and day. He really looked deflated back then

After what they said about Punk not being a draw, you love to see it.

I think it's supposed to be, but personally I'd probably put it Mania, then the Rumble, then Money in the Bank, then everything else, then Survivor Series.

I put it like this; You couldn’t picture a WWE calendar without WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam. You can picture it without Survivor Series because it actually happened.

Some people are trying to move the goal post and say that the pop was only so massive because it was in Chicago. Dude, that pop would have happened anywhere in the country. Whether New York, Atlanta or LA. If it had taken place in the Cow Palace, I know plenty of friends who would have quickly snatched up tickets to see the show (including me).

Almost 22 hours later and I still got goosebumps from his AEW debut. Definite moment of the week.

It wasn’t the only reason but you weren’t going to get THAT same reaction anywhere else. It’s why The Rock got a massive reaction in Miami or Britt Baker got a massive reaction in Pittsburgh or La Resistance got a godly reaction in Montreal. Like…people are going to cheer their hometown people. They’re from the hometown. And if you’re going to bring CM Punk back, you’re going to bring CM Punk back to a packed crowd in Chicago and not a performer only crowd in Jacksonville. That’s just how you want to do it.

While I do agree Punk would get a massive ovation regardless, you just can't beat having him return in his hometown of Chicago. It just means so much more in the grand scheme of things.

So glad the customer service from ShopAEW was good. They sorted out all my problems and I actually ordered a Punk shirt for real.
Now I’m only mad about the shipping costs!

Yeah I just got the email there. Very happy with the quick response and I’m glad the two payments were voided. I’ll order a shirt for real when I get the chance, but I’m willing to give the AEW shop the benefit of the doubt since they’ll never have had so many people trying to order at the same time.

Thinking about ordering a CM Punk shirt myself. Not often do I purchase wrestling apparel these days, but I'm so tempted to make an exception here.
