Is Luchasaurus a joke to you? Luchasaurus isn't a man. He's a dinosaur. Obviously.

I would greatly veto that idea, considering the horrible racial stereotype of blackmen not having father figures. This feels like a big can of Nope. I feel like you can do something without approaching that stereotype. I mean after all Christian joined forces with Swerve after Swerve brutally assaulted Nick Wayne, and then Christian walked out of the match at All In, leaving Swerve to lose by himself. Christian is an over heel who can eat a loss, and Swerve will look better for defeating him. You don't have to touch any of the "Your Father is...." stuff, when you could go with "YOU HURT MY SON!" with Swerve pointing out all the hypocrisy. hire me Tony Khan.

AEW/ROH now has 3 Black Champions.
No Black wrestler had a match at WWE SummerSlam.
Need I say more?

AEW/ROH now has 3 Black Champions. No Black wrestler had a match at WWE SummerSlam. Need I say more? ROH is ROH. They're really not that notable any more. This thread is about the main event - AEW has never really had much of an issue strapping people of colour up everywhere except the top of the card. And that one example of a show - which did feature multiple Samoans and a Puerto Rican in matches, just no black people - is not really reflective of the fact that WWE is still ahead on the 'non-white main eventer' stakes against AEW. That's not to say WWE is doing well. That's to point out that both promotions, while improving, are super behind on this. Plus the issue, as we keep going over and over in this thread over the years, is not just 'non-white world champions' but also 'established non-white main eventers.'

As someone who only got into AEW this February imagine my shock when I saw this thread for the first time and there are people 3 years ago on page 1 talking about Lee Moriarty as a potential AEW Main Eventer 😳
Was that just sheer speculation or was he being pushed like that? Because aside from his recent ROH Pure Title win all I’ve seen from him are Rampage losses as part of STP

AEW/ROH now has 3 Black Champions. No Black wrestler had a match at WWE SummerSlam. Need I say more? AEW still has room to do better, like elevating some of the younger non-white talent (hell, younger talent in general). The rise of Swerve is an industry wide anomaly, IMO. Few get things to work like he did. But there is definitely a talk to be had about how Triple H books black talent. Less so HBK.

I think Melo and Trick will be Rollins/Orton/Cena/Reigns type Main Eventers

Because aside from his recent ROH Pure Title win all I’ve seen from him are Rampage losses as part of STP Lee is insanely talented and athletic and was a standout on the indies. It wasn't hard to think of him as a future main eventer once he signed at the time. Especially since he got attached to the Firm in what looked like a program with MJF. And then that didn't work out.

Honestly the real talk should not just be how HHH books black talent but the Mexican talent, that's maybe my most frustrating gripe with him booking wise. WWE sucked booking Mexican wrestlers not named Mysterio before, but HHH putting all of the Mexican talent in an endless heat death feud with one another for like a year straight that wound up helping like none of them that weren't a Mysterio made me want to put my head through a wall, and is a big reason I am not excited about the Lucha Bros run there until they show me otherwise.

And how many black World Champions has WWE had overall? 5 If you do the math,WWE had 5 World Champions and been around since 1980(being generous that was when vince took over and changed everything ) thats 40 years of being a wrestling company and they have had 5 Black World champions ,thats thats a black champion for a 8 year period AEW has been around for 5 years with one black world champion, thats one black champion for a 5 years period THE NUMBERS DONT LIE, AND THEY SPELL DOOM FOR WWE AT SACRIFICE

I do genuinely believe Keith Lee would be an upper card champion by now if his health hadn't betrayed him as hard as it did. Khan seemed genuinely invested in trying to push him and for good reason. Thankfully Swerve rose to the top as well and has more then proven he deserved it
Lashley and the likely faction that follows will likely lead to another upper card black wrestler and faction, I can only hope when Hobbs is healthy he's also the same.
I wish they'd sign Calvin Tankman lol

And how many black World Champions has WWE had overall? 5 Actually 6 The Rock, Booker T, Mark Henry, Kofi, Big E and Bobby Lashley. Rock, Kofi, Big E and Bobby won the WWE Championships while Booker and Mark won the World Championship. Should be pointed out that Rock, Kofi, Big E and Bobby all had their reigns ended by Brock Lesnar too.

There's also the ECW title and NXT's, though that really only adds a couple of names like Ezekiel Jackson, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams. Most of the others, like Big E, have won one of the main roster world championships.

It seems like whatever AEW does, the numbers just suck. Which is a shame.

AEW/ROH now has 3 Black Champions. No Black wrestler had a match at WWE SummerSlam. Need I say more? However WWE is currently packing large arenas while AEW is doing shows on E sports venues. Apples and oranges but my point is this, WWE apparent lack of diversity hasn't hurt them in any way. You could almost argue the opposite. To be clear I'm very much in favor of the diversity AEW has going on atm.

So the reason for AEW's decline in attendance is too many black people?
