There are the NES themes that are often the ones topping everyone's favorite list: Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily Stage 1-2 theme (or the whole Mega Man 2 soundtrack really), the Moon theme from Ducktales, the Legend Of Zelda overworld theme, the Super Mario Bros. theme etc....
But which are your favorite NES themes that are almost never or even really never talked much about? Perhaps from games that only you and a few others have played or from well-known games whose soundtracks, however, never seem to make it into any Top Ten lists.
Two of mine that I have found in the past year are first the Blast Furnace stage theme from The Jetsons:
Also really love the Green Planet theme from Bucky O'Hare:

Beetlejuice is god awful, but I adore the soundtrack. Strong David Wise stuff.
Alien 3's soundtrack is also great
And I'll give the Follins some love with the Wolverine soundtrack
LJN can be bad, but with some exceptions, they usually nail the music.

Ducktales doesn't even have the best Moon theme on the NES. Change my mind

I dunno how "lesser known" it is... But basically all the music in Faxanadu is amazing. Sets a really good tone for adventure and what is going on on-screen.

Godzilla: Monster of Monsters has a really cool soundtrack, with distinct themes for each monster and planet that honestly feel very different as musical pieces, something that I thought was pretty rare for NES soundtracks.

Haha monsters like Varan and Gezora don't deserve such good music. Hahah. I love that game so much, sure its repetitive and easy... But smashing all those buildings and what not are fun, specially the planet with the little towers with faces and the tiny squirming olive plants. Or when you can attack the like UFO airbases and cause chain reactions. Too bad the sequel was the dirt worst.

The game itself is wack, but I adore the OST to the NES Predator game:

You want obscure? I'll give you obscure!
Not sure if this next one would count as obscure since it was fairly popular back in the day, but still one of my favorites:

Related, and only lesser known because the X series had started by this point... ...I bet if this ever got an official Super Nintendo remix it would be amazing.

I'm one of seemingly few that like M.C. Kids, key reason among them is the OST, composed by future Fallout 1 and 2 composer Charles Deenen
