The "best" QB prospect is a dude that's most famous for the fake slide, a move that if he tried in the NFL he'd end up in the ER soon after because the defense will stop believing he's giving himself up. I’m seeing some idiot sports journalists trying to sell the idea that the Colts might trade up into the first for a QB. That’s not gonna happen. Even if they do like a QB, he’s likely to slide into the 2nd anyway. They’re far more likely to trade back, draft Alec Pierce (so they can have two WRs who manhandle DBs), and stock up depth.

Is it just me or is the draft just kinda blah this year? Not the talent but I'm usually hyped as hell for this but this year, I forgot it starting soon (tonight?). There just seems to be no buzz this year, no reason to be excited or anything. The media is only interested in the QBs every year, so this being a down QB draft means they really couldn't give a shit to hype it. The draft itself isn't too bad. Some really good pass rushers, some really good WRs. Not as deep as last year, but it's more of an average class than a bad one.

There are some deep pools this year, especially WR and Linebacker, but they don't sell the wow power for the future like the usual Quarterback would It's had to have driven dudes like Kiper NUTS this year to now have a big Quarterback debate on who the best one is this year because the best one is projected in the late teens at best. This is definitely a "Figure out what you got" year for teams who have a Quarterback they're unsure about being the total franchise (Tua, Hurts) and for some teams, a top gap year because there might not be a QB in this draft that is NFL ready, which is why New Orleans re-signed Jameis after whiffing on Watson... though it's pretty telling that Baker and Jimmy G can't be dealt yet when you got some teams like Atlanta with Marcus Mariota and Seattle with... Drew Lock... Post-Draft will be very interesting for guys like that, Deebo wanting out also throws a huge wrench into the situation with a lot of teams that have a lot of draft capital.

The QB market always sorts itself out. And you know what you have in Hurts already. You'll get more of the same next year.

If he improves his arm strength it'll matter, this is essentially his make or break year with two more first round picks the next year, one a potential high pick if New Orleans tanks

To the surprise of no one except Daniel Jones and his family the Giants won't be picking up his 5th year option

To the surprise of no one except Daniel Jones and his family the Giants won't be picking up his 5th year option I doubt even Jones is surprised. I mean, he'll be fine. He might not be a starter past this season but he is at worst likely to be seen as a top flight backup. Those guys get paid well and have long careers.

And if anything he will get a chance at starting again after about 2 years on the bench if you look at Marriota, Winston, Tannehill etc It will be up to him to pick a smart destination where he will either learn behind a good QB or coach or go to a spot where he has a chance at starting

I've seen significantly better QBs lose their spot. He has to improve quite a bit in a short amount of time for him to not be a back-up in 2023 or traded to be a starter for a dumpster fire team.

I want Philly to bring him home but they still have Minshew and just signed Carson Strong so the depth might be assured going into camps.

Cardinals will be without WR DeAndre Hopkins for the the first six games as he tested positive for PEDs And there’s a report he had three different type of steroids. I just checked as I was nearly sure he was one of the players who didn’t get the covid vaccine and he didn’t get it. So he won’t take a vaccine that was proven safe, but he’s willing to allegedly put different steroids in his body. Makes perfect sense.
