First playthrough I did Makoto. Second Ann. This time I'm going for Yoshizawa though you really have to wait until 3rd semester for it to happen since it's stuck at Rank 5 limbo until then. BTW, there's a pretty well-done "Female Joker" mod for P5 Royal on PC. The mod maker(s?) even got a voice actress to do her voice (they used Maaya Sakamoto's Aigis voice from P3Fes for the Japanese one). It's pretty well-done. In case you were wondering, the potential love interests are Ryuji, Yusuke, Akechi, and Mishima on the men's side and Ann, Hifumi, Haru, and Takemi on the women's side. Personally, I would've replaced Takemi with Makoto, Yoshizawa, or even Futaba because the adult romances ick me. But otherwise pretty solid choices.

Yeah, most of the adult options gave me the ick, particularly Kawakami, with Ohya being a close second. I even think the game writers only included them as options to check some boxes (options for those who like the “hot for teacher” and “cougar hunter” tropes) and tried to be subtle about steering players away from them: First, there’s the way the names are used. I won’t claim to fully understand the way names are used in Japanese culture, but I do understand there are situations where you should not be too familiar with another person. Having said that, outside of a few moments with Haru and Mokoto, honorifics are skipped with all of the age appropriate options. All of the girls in school, as well as Chihaya, are pretty much only referred to by their familiar names. Tae, a prodigy, is older but more accomplished than her years, gets referenced by both familiar and surname. Kawakami and Ohya are exclusively referred to by their surnames. Second, while both Chihaya and Tae acknowledge an age difference, only Kawakami and Ohya have storylines where their age is a factor. While she prides herself on looking good for her age, Kawakami admits that her age has seriously affected her second job. Everyone in Ohya’s storyline, even she herself, make reference to her having had her looks fade because of her age. She’s also been in her career long enough to have advanced to a notable height in order for her downfall to have also been notable. Lastly, both characters have character issues that make them less desirable. With Kawakami, not only is she your home room teacher, she works a job that is part sex trade. She also threatened the whole “you tell on me and I’ll tell on you” bit. Ohya, on the other hand, is drunkard. She’s not an angry drunk, but she’s also not pleasant at all times because of it either.

I'll admit I did the Kawakami one once just to see how it turns out in story. Like, there's an awful lot of acknowledgement of the inappropriateness of the relationship which made me wonder why it was included all the more. Just a bizarre option to be sure. Maybe it's a culture thing, no clue, but wow it was weird.

I think they made her older and threw in the sex trade stuff to make it less appealing, but to be honest if the teacher aspect wasn’t a dealbreaker for you the rest is just window dressing.

Now if Kawakami was a beginning teacher in her early twenties and Joker was a college student, it would be less awkward and more believable.

So quite a lot of sources are saying... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}That a remake called Persona 3 Reload will be announced at the Xbox showcase, out in fall. Though apparently while a full remake it won't be definitive, so probably no FeMC or The Answer. We might also get an update on "P5T" as its domain was updated at the same time as what you mentioned. I'm guessing it's a Persona 5-based fighting game in the vein of the Persona 4 Arena games. If ASW is developing again, likely a 2.5D fighter in a similar vein to Guilty Gear Strive and Dragonball FighterZ.

Yeah, that feels like the logical big Persona game to announce before a potential Persona 6 and the thing in the spoiler above.

You can watch the cut scenes on YouTube and be just as satisfied lol. Unless they completely rework it to not be a slogfest.

Yeah, that feels like the logical big Persona game to announce before a potential Persona 6 and the thing in the spoiler above. If that's what's going on, I hope it's like P4A and Ultimax where it connects the Phantom Thieves with the (now adult) P3 and 4 casts. The Persona Q games aren't quite what I had in mind as being the only venue for that lol.
I'd also like to see Kotone Shiomi (aka FeMC) brought into the game as a long-lost twin sister of Makoto Yuki who joins Elizabeth in searching for a way to relive him of his Door-kun status.

I'm kind of hoping P5T is, like... Literally anything but a fighting game because I definitely want more of this crew but really can't claim to at all be interested in that particular avenue for it.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fighter person myself, so I doubt I'd care too much if it ended up being a fighting game.

Welp cats out of the bag. Atlus West’s Instagram accidentally put up posts for both P3R and P5T. {Spoiler}P3R is indeed Persona 3 Reload and P5T is Persona 5 Tactica. Both games were set to be announced at Microsoft’s thing on Sunday because the specific posts only had Xbox/Windows branding logos along the bottoms of some images.

LOL now a Spanish retailer, Xtralife, has leaked, via putting up listings on their site for it, Persona 3 Reload’s boxart, and in the process reveals that in addition to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it is coming to PS4, PS5, and Switch.
This is easily the worst announcement rollout for Atlus in a good while and honestly, they’ve kinda earned it with their predilection for dicking us all around with endless strings of announcements of announcements.

I do kind of love that the ONE time Atlus chooses to announce something without dragging it out for a goddamn eternity everything goes tits-up and all of it leaks in advance.
Totally buying the Switch version of Reload.

Person who leaked the titles of P5T and P3R is saying that multiple other Persona games are in the works and that Persona 6 will be in 2026. ... That's an absurdly long wait.
