I thought that was a great match and worthy of the main event. With them doing a time limit draw for Omega vs. Danielson, that couldn't go on last because if the timings got screwed up, there goes your finish. Out of the other matches left, the women's world title match deserved the main event and I think Britt and Ruby put on a great match. I'm not a big fan of the interference or how it was executed, though.

Must EVERY big match have interference. Can we please take zap year long hiatus on them? There wasn’t interference in the biggest match on the show. Yes, a run-in afterwards. But the two biggest matches they’ve put on lately had no interference.

I doubted Ruby was going to win the Women's Championship in her first ever singles match in AEW, but there were a few times where I thought she'd win. She looked like Baker's equal, so that's good at least.

Yeah, I have no issue with that ending. You weren’t gonna have Ruby lose clean. This doesn’t hurt anyone at all and puts over Britt even more as a top heel.

One downside to Dragon/Omega opening: it made a lot of the other matches look slower. Not because the matches were bad, far from it, but man, when you see it live you just feel viscerally how Kenny and Danielson are on another level.

I’m just bored to death with interferences.

That is a horrendous finish. I wouldnt call it horrendous. I'd call it expected... but not horrendous. Baker has friends that need to be countered or done away with. And it'll keep happening in every damn match. You wouldn't even have to watch it to know what will happen

I'll say what I said when MJF bear Sammy Guevara: scumbag heel does scumbag heel things to win. As cool as Ruby winning would've been, I'm okay with this. The point is that the heel gets their comeuppance though; that never really happens. AEW has been phenomenal about heels getting their comeuppance, and even when the wait is a drawn out one, the payoff for it is usually monstrous. The Bucks went on for so long, but the blowoff match with the Lucha Bros was an all timer. The Inner Circle got Stadium Stampede and the final Jericho vs. MJF match restart over the Pinnacle. AEW fundamentally does deliver and give the heels what they're due.

But you’re just getting into hyperbole when we’ve had the first matches of Punk, Danielson and Adam Cole go by with no interference. It’s not every big match. It just plain isn’t.

I’m just bored to death with interferences. Agreed. The last time you can say it worked was AJ vs Okada at Dontaku 2014

While I appreciate the Women's Title Match getting the main even slot, I think I probably would have gone with the Sting/Darby vs. FTR bout to close if just for the feel good ending.

Like, I was so absorbed in how that match went and the others really couldn't compare. Still really good matches, but you had a legit MOTY candidate start off the show.

Like, when it comes time for Omega and Britt to drop their titles (presumably to Adam Page and Thunder Rosa, respectively), I imagine their losses will be satisfying comeuppance moments.

Think we also forget that, well, Baker is super over. Not saying that was a reason to have her win right now but that crowd did love her winning even by nefarious means.

Yeah, if All Out proved anything, is the heels comeuppance will be glorious. You should be craving for the face to win. And judging by some responses to people getting mad that heels win, I’m guessing that it’s working.

One thing that helps is that we have these story beats set up, and they feel like they've been set up to deliver. We can name specifically "Hangman beats Omega" and "Rosa beats Britt" as storyline pieces that were set up before these reigns began to wear people down. Not to single out other companies for their own stuff, but a lot of names have been thrown around for people to take down Roman, and even the big one everyone figured would definitely do it is now on the other show as champion there instead. Here, we know who's doing it, and everyone who comes in who isn't them falls short, without actually pulling the trigger on the match everyone expects will do it. We have our pieces in place. That goes so far in terms of building up that trust in delivering.
